Lochend Fry Zai's Balti

Three fish suppers a curry sauce and a portion of chips ordered from here as the place we would normally order from couldn't deliver in time and this place promotes halal. The food looked a strange colour smelt like melted plastic. It was all disgusting and a total waste. Curry sauce was lumpy and runny how this is even possible l have no idea. No exaggerating honestly when l opened the box l thought why are the chips a grey/brown colour .I did call and advise the person who was lovely and regretful that perhaps there oil needed to be changed .After he spoke to his manager he offered me a free fish supper next time. Well there won't be a next time .I would have accepted for them to take a look at the food they sent us and send our order again tonight .as l'm now having to create a meal for 4 from what l have in the fridge. Poor. l did try to eat this as l didn't want to appear as being rude as l was a guest but simply couldn't.

Still can't find a decent chippy in Edinburgh but this one is definitely the worst. Fish batter needed a sledgehammer, mushy peas were normal peas in green water, fishcakes drowned in chippy sauce (that wasn't asked for) and they need to google "potato fritters" instead of serving what are basically crisps. And don't want to think how old the cooking oil was. Avoid this awful food at all costs!
