Good food! Reasonable price! Friendly staff! Nice atmosphere! All the foods we ordered were delicious just a little bit disappointed with the chips and mac cheese. Recommended!

The Pier Brasserie has a great menu and star of the show is undoubtedly their chateaubriand, with plenty of theatre carving it during serving. I however went for crispy haggis and my wife the butternut squash risotto. Both were superb and extremely tasty. Desserts were beautiful - we polished off a cheese board and a salted caramel granola mousse - both were first rate. While you're dining, the art on the wall changes colour, which is not only fascinating, but also really pretty. Service was excellent and very relaxed - allow plenty of time, this is not a place for a quick bite to eat. Highly recommended!

Superb Restaurant in the picturesque Newhaven area of Edinburgh. Visited with my partner in Nov 2021. We had the Chateaubriand which was absolutely fantastic. Service was impeccable, decor and atmosphere was excellent. We'll definitely be back again, well worthy of a 5* review. Martin

There was a huge queue in front of The Fishmarket so we decided to go to Pier Brasserie instead and in the end we were glad we ended up here as we had a very positive experience. We ordered only 2 oysters and steamed Scottish mussels, we were also given complimentary bread (buns) and free tap water. The service is very professional and the interior looks a bit luxurious (not something we're used to) with a nice view at the lighthouse and the price for the seafood is actually reasonable 😅 The mussels with creamy sauce were cooked deliciously. We paid around 29€/£24 in total for these two "starters", including the mandatory 10%(?) service fee and the money they were raising for charity (also automatically added to the bill). I need to mention that we thought we should be in a hurry since it said on the door that they close at 9 p.m. but the staff was very cool about it and kept serving steaks to other tables shortly before closing time, which I found very kind.

First off, we we're extremely pleased. The food was amazing and even if it's a bit pricey, after all, it's not your standard takeaway. The oysters were great and the red wine jus had me ask for the recipe (which I got), the steak was perfectly grilled rare without being too chewy or too dry, the Bearnaise going with it was delicious and the chips too, not to mention the dessert, the drinks or my company's dishes, everything was just great. The service has to be mentioned as well, all staff was immensely friendly, always keeping an eye out if they were needed but without being annoying in doing so, we just felt like we're being taken good care of. Yes, the restaurant might not be the cheapest, but judging by the food, service, and the stunningly furnished and decorated interior, this restaurant is worth every single visit and every penny spent. As soon as I am in Edinburgh again, I will gladly visit again and spend some more money on this delightful food. Highly recommended.

Awesome views and a great meal. The service was spot on. The starter delicious as was the steak, the chips were a wee bit disappointing.

Fantastic meal. Whow the food was amazing. The building is so interesting with its almost barn like wooden high ceiling but has been creatively decorated to suit the location on the marina and provides an open but somehow intimate feel. The staff are so lovely and made us feel so welcome (our server was Rebecca, excellent). We will be coming again.
