Best fish and chips I've had for ages. Fish cooked from fresh. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly too and gave me a doggy portion each for my two dogs. Would definitely be back when in the area.

We are in town on a vacation from the US, my son wanted authentic fish and chips. After checking around we found this restaurant. Due to not having transportation we had to have a place that delivered. The reviews for this place were great and they delivered to our hotel. There was small issue with our order but the owner/manager responded to my Google chat message quickly and addressed the problem. The food lived up to the reviews it was fantastic. Arrived hot even with the restaurant a few miles away in Edinburgh traffic. The haggis fritter (closer to a pie that a friter) was quite possibly the best we have had on our trip thus far, out of four times having it.

Had a fantastic gluten free fish supper. Delicious and totally safe from a dedicated fryer. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and they even had a free-from bar of chocolate. Will definitely be back soon!

This shop was excellent!! Visiting from South Carolina in the United States. Had a great conversation with the staff while I waited on our huge order (9 meals, several sides and drinks). It was ready much quicker than I thought it would be and the food was great. They even gave us a surprise in our bag - thanks so much!!

My family have had several deliveries from Fish Haymarket and they have always been excellent.
They have a great selection and it's good to know they have several gluten free options, with two coeliacs in the family this is one of the few places everyone can order from!
Brilliant customer service too, all in all highly recommended!

The staff here are always so friendly and accommodating. They take allergens very seriously so for someone who has coeliac disease they are a great option for eating out. The food always arrives on time, with huge portion sizes and always hot. Recently an item was missing from an order. The owner was kind enough to rectify this and hand deliver a new fresh order himself. Can’t wait to order again soon.

Ordered fish and chips and some vegan options and wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic helpful staff, food was amazing and seriously tasty. Best I’ve tasted in Edinburgh. We will def be back and totally recommend to others.

The first time I have tried "salt and sauce" and it was amazing! The fish and chips were delicious and reasonably priced. However, the downside was how long it took to get our food...the place was due to open at 4.30pm, the staff were still prepping at 4.45pm before finally letting us in and even then the chips weren't ready.
So either open at 5pm and be ready to go immediately or be better prepared and ready to go at 4.30pm as stated.
Definitely recommend but not if you're in a rush!
