Great little place by the beach. Generous portions - my shrimp bun had 5 massive shrimps on it falling out on each side, not something you can see often (huge plus), great fries, creamy mac n cheese. Will be back! Thank you.

Didn’t have much time but I had to grab something to go and I was in awe of what I received! The taste was insane! Best fish sandwich I've ever tasted. It’s a must try!

We came to Portobello beach for this little place and were not disappointed. The little booth has a great vibe and the guys that were running it were awesome too. We had the squid, prawns and macaroni cheese. All really hit the spot. There are some tables to eat at that overlook the ocean which makes the whole experience all the better. 100% would recommend coming here!

The wife and I went here last night for some dinner! Thankfully it had just stopped raining so the prom was quiet. We got served straight straight away by nice lady. I got the shrimp bun, my wife got the fish finger sarnie and we shared the crispy squid and old bay fries. We tanned the crispy squid first which was quality! I thought they’d maybe be a little crispier but they tasted great! The garlic mayo it came with made it even better. My shrimp bun was terrific. Amazing flavour and it was super juicy. My wife’s fish finger sarnie was also well approved. She loved it in fact, producing uncontrollable mmm’s. Both buns were substantial in size. The only negative I could think of was that the buns could do with an upgrade. They struggled to contain the contents so maybe with a better quality bun then they do a better job. Saying that, they tasted fine, and the messiness was quite humouring. Finally, my expectations for the old bay fries were pretty low as I thought it would just be bog standard fries mixed with old bay seasoning, and maybe it was, but they tasted great and were very indulgent. It was also a huge amount, so good value. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our scran at shrimpwreck. The service was faultless, the food was brill and the value was good. My new fav place to eat on the prom.

Shrimp Bun! A good amount of king prawns, five to be exact🍤 cooked perfectly too, light, tender and flavourful. Not really a fan of the bun though. Would rather have had them on their own or with a salad. £9 is a tad pricy for a roll though.

Absolutely brilliant. Food was as fresh as you can get, cooked to perfection. Fish was nice and crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside. Mac and cheese was creamy with beautifully crispy top. I would definitely recommend going there if you’re in the area.

I came here on a very wet Friday afternoon on a recommendation from a friend. What can I say except I was not disappointed at all. I chatted to the guys whilst they prepared my food, they were both lovely. Cheerful and happy to offer recommendations. I had the shrimp roll and seasoned chips. The roll was absolutely phenomenal, the quality of the product that these guys are making out of this tiny kitchen is amazing. I savoured every bite. The chips were so good as well, they gave me the same sauce from the roll with my chips and that is the way forward. Thanks again, I will be back when lobster is on the menu.

What a brilliant little venue, fantastic staff member whose customer services and attitudes are absolutely wonderful. Welcoming smiles and good banter. But the best part was the food, fresh and delicious, must better that some of the venues on George street! The batter on the shrimp was light and crispy, the shrimp itself was cooked perfectly, plump and succulent…we opted for the special sauce - definitely worth getting. The oysters again were so good, I mean so good! Will definitely be visiting again. If you get a chance to get some food here do it you won’t be disappointed with the food the service or the views (when the sun is out).
