The Counting House has recently had its main, upper room floor redone. To dance is smoother now by comparison to how the floor was previously. (Know that the dancefloor was good before, now it's feel underfoot has improved yet further.)
How clean and well-swept the floor is will impact on how it affects the dancers' movements l. For example the ease with which a dancer pivots (rotates on the ball of the foot) is affected by the condition of the floor surface.

We have met The Counting House thanks to a Ceilidh event organised by Annasach Ceilidh Band, and it has been superb! Good music, affordable price for drinks, and different areas to drink, dance and have a chat. 100% recommended!
