Absolutely love this place came a few weeks ago and literally can’t get enough the milkshakes are the best around, perfect family place and even better to bring the family pet as they even have a doggy menu catering for all the family. The staff are so friendly and the service is absolutely second to none. Definitely need to try the glamping just looks so good. Would recommend to anyone it’s the most perfect day �. Love love love

Having stayed here this weekend I wish we could give 10 stars the glamping pod we stayed in Decs Den was amazing the pods are clean, well laid out and the beds are huge and very comfortable. We also had a log burner hot tub which was heated for us and perfect temperature to just use. Everything here is perfect. I would recommend to everyone. We can't wait to go back. Even with two toddlers we had such a great time and even if you just go for the food the milkshakes are to die for. Well done to everyone who has put in the hard work here, keep going you have built a corner of perfect. Will see you again very soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Fantastic views. Lovely milkshakes. Yorkshire wrap is lush well worth getting.. chips were not cooked complained to member of staff who gladly got us some freshly cooked ones and these where cooked unlike previous ones.. so it was put right straight away. Lovely place plenty to see & do and a nice pint
A lovely and fun little place, set in a very beautiful location, by Derwent reservoir. Shame the cafe shuts at 4, rather than say 5, with the weather being so good and evenings light. Also £7 is quite a lot for a milkshake, though it was very nice. Definitely will go back as fancy a game of crazy golf and maybe a drink from the Tiki bar.
Simply Amazing!
My wife and I stayed here for a few days in one of the pods called Mally’s Mansion and have a few meals at the boat shack cafe, we absolutely adored every single second of it.
The pod was really clean and had a beautiful view of the reservoir, can’t wait to come back to this pod!
The boat shack was incredible, the shakes, the food and the atmosphere were all perfect! We had a couple of dinners and they were all divine. Also big shout out to the wonderful family who runs the place! They were all lovely and very welcoming!
We are already planning on another trip here!
What a fantastic place! Owner Paul has a great place which has been developed during lockdown. The site, views and facilities are amazing. The hospitality is great and I would absolutely stop by again!
This is the place to be if you want a nice weekend away or even a nice chill couple of hours we were camping at the weekend and it was the best weekend ever from getting there to coming home the drinks are amazing the food is amazing and not one thing is a problem to these guys the facilities are the cleanest the whole camping site is well looked after in everyway possible plenty of light even during the night when it's pich black going to the toilets the water is nice and hot not one night where it was cold evey thing you need is right there we will be back at some point definitely 😀
Lovely quirky little place, great setting, good menu plenty of choice. Staff were very polite and friendly. Food was lovely, will be back again
Nice place located at Pow Hill on the Derwent Reservoir. It is a lovely spot that has outdoor seating to enjoy those nice sunny days. Milkshakes are impressive and the waffles are delicious. It's quite expensive though imo. 3 milkshakes, 2 waffles, 1 cappuccino and a can of orange £35. The Shack has parking although there are signs to say that parking is £3, when Pow hill parking a little further down the hill is free.
Parking charge is via an honesty box, so I guess you have a choice.
Personally I dont think there should be a charge for cafe customers.
Fantastic festive day out seeing Santa and seeing the beautiful Christmas decorations. After the visit to Santa we enjoyed some delicious hot chocolates and hot beef sandwiches. Will definitely be back
Milkshakes were very nice. We got 2 milkshakes an ice cream a bottle of water and a can of pop. It came to £16.20 which I though was very reasonable. Will definitely be returning when you are allowed back inside. Couldn't due to covid 19. Food was available as carry out though and there is ample outside seating.
food is first class. excellent quality and brilliant price. best burgers weve had in a long time and delicious onion rings. service was brilliant, the staff literally couldn't have done more, so polite and helpful. all topped off with a fab view over derwent reservoir. didn' t have a milkshake but they looked brilliant! definitely going to return!
