Excellent friendly staff, good value food and very welcoming towards dogs. Service good but not at all intrusive. Pickle the dog loved the "scraps" he was given - best beef, pork, turkey and gravy.

Really tasty steak and ale pie in front of the fire. The owner recommended a walk across the moors to Blanchland and said he would pick us up to bring us back to our car. Can't recommend this place enough! We'll be back. Thank you for your hospitality!
