The Royal Oak - Edwinstowe - Photo album

Called in for Sunday lunch with family. The waitresses were all lovely and pleasant. I actually had fish and chips and they were so nice better than I've had from a fish and chip shop.
Wow, I read good reviews but did not expect it to be this good! The chips tasted like they'd been slowly roasted then fried, the pizza was as good as any we have had in Italy and my cauliflower dish had serious Thai flavour and actually felt healthy to eat! The burgers (if we ate meat) looked incred
The Royal Oak has a very welcoming atmosphere has soon as you enter through the doors.staff are friendly and there are a great selection of drinks on offer.the food menu is excellent and the food tastes absolutely beautiful and well presented a credit to the chef. there is a fab atmosphere and gets
A very good meat pie with mashed potatoes and lovely ale made my evening complete. Nice staff and lovely atmosphere didn't make the shake any worse
They found us a table at short notice in the dog friendly end. The food was nice, apart from my wife's beef, which was tough, but the manageress reflected this in the bill. The service between the main course and the desert was a bit slow. But it was very busy.
Great food, well worth the wait I've had a vegetarian roast and my partner has the beef roast. Both were delicious The staff were lovely and the place was very clean and well looked after.
After hiking in Sherwood Forest we decided to have lunch at this beautifully decorated pub which is about a 5-minute walk away from the forest main car park. Many details on the walls remind you of trees. The staff is really friendly. They have a varied menu, suitable for all tastes. We had fish and
Had a late lunch here for the first time and we we very impressed, even though it doesn’t look like much from the outside compared to posher looking gastro pubs this place over delivered on the food and service. In particular the short rib and Mac and cheese was great and one of the best pub burgers
Very good food decent service. Nice atmosphere
A lovely Sunday roast. I had turkey and others had beef- clean plates all round. The beef was a little too pink for my liking. Friendly and efficient staff. It’s not cheap but it’s quality and you get good portion sizes.
Luckily for us we decided to pop in for some food before returning to London. We had Blade of Beef & Korean Tacos and this probably is one of the best meals we have had in any pub or restaurant. We'll presented and full of flavour. Very nice pub with very friendly and helpful staff.
A great evening celebrating my daughters 26th birthday, excellent service, food and staff were lovely. Xx
Really good staff. We were celebrating a big birthday and they let us bring our own cake. I had the bream which was the best meal I have eaten out for a long time. Beautifully cooked on samphire.
My second visit here in two years and once again did not disappoint. The staff were lovely and friendly, the food came out promptly. I had chicken in portobello mushroom sauce with vegetables and my partner a gammon steak. The portions were plentiful and tasted lovely. We shared a chocolate brownie
We found the Royal Oak by accident while staying in the area. It was great to find somewhere with such good food and service. Having the kitchen open was greatly appreciated, you can see and hear how the kitchen is run.
We booked a table for dinner at the Royal Oak while visiting Sherwood recently and the service and food were both amazing. Definitely recommend the Korean Chicken Tacos!
Amazing food, all sooo tasty, well presented and fresh. The staff were reslly friendly, the place was very clean and well lit. Got good vegetarian options.
