Food was excellent, Service was great and really friendly. Atmosphere was just right for what we wanted for Sunday lunch/dinner. Never been there before so can’t comment on the atmosphere but it was just what we needed for our needs on the day. Best Roast beef I have had on a long time though. 10/10 for the meal. Plates where empty.😁

Quite simply, truly wonderful Sunday lunch. Quality food with the home cooked taste and perhaps even better. Service with a smile. Constantly quality food over the last few years. Only point if the owners read these, is please update the website with current menus. Other than that, it's the only place I now go locally for quality food.

We went for a Sunday roast and had to leave as soon as our food arrived because of a moody toddler. We asked if our food could be packed up, expecting a slightly soggy meal when we got home. The quality of food was amazing, nothing was soggy, everything was absolutely delicious - would highly recommend a roast. The team were so accommodating, thank you so much!

Why did I not take photos of our meals? I don’t know! Our food was fabulous especially the pate starter and pulled lamb on flat bread with a delicious salad, which is a is a main meal. The fish and chips are delicious, the fish having the most wonderful batter! Service was excellent. We have just not been going out since lock down and decided to go to our (before lock down) favourite local. We will be back soon! Thanks to all the staff! Just brilliant in every way😍

Friendly bar, nice mix of clientele. Dog friendly. Has a bar and restaurant area and a fair sized outside area and plenty of parking. Sat outside today, around 4 benches need fixing, 2 appeared unsafe to sit on, need repairing. Returned again hoping for a drink and a burger on a very hot Sunday. They stop doing food mid afternoon( 😞 disappointing) and they start to shut the bar around 7, windows being shut, regular customers leaving). Returned again Nov 22, nice food tonight. Blade of beef with parmesan chips was very tasty, husband had steak pie which was also tasty. Feb 23 Friday night drinks, reasonably busy at 8pm, got much quieter as the evening progressed. Beavertown neck oil always a good pint. Shame more people don't make use of this pub, its still really nice, but used to be a bit more lively. June 23 New menu, lovely haddock and poached egg on mash and spinach and lamb with flatbread. Both recommended.

Visited today 18/3/23 with my brother for lunch. Lovely welcoming staff and a great and varied menu. Settled on a burger, which turned out to be a spectacularly good burger. Choice of chips, which you don't get elsewhere. chunky or skinny. I've only been home two hours, but if I had room, I'd go and eat it all over again. Highly recommend this place. Definately be returning, probably next week. Full marks. Deserve the 5 stars.

Dog friendly pub area with a lovely fireplace. The food was great! We had pea and ham soup as starter, which was hearty and yum (with a little kick which was great for a cold day). The lamb was really delicious and generous in portion too. The chicken satay was delicious as well, nice spicy, and the homemade satay sauce was good (not authentic but good enough). Crispy beef was deliciously sticky. There is a lot of chicken in the Chicken Cesar salad, lovely and moist meat which was given a garlic herb rub, really delicious. The service was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, friendly and attentive staff. All and all, two thumbs up!
