We visited this charming little tearoom last week, on several occasions. Apart from the fabulous setting (almost Alpinesque!), we were made to feel really welcome ... and not just by the owner, but by Merlin, the beautiful resident Red-setter, who meets and greets all who visit! What a treat to get in from the cold and damp, to sit by the fire with a coffee and slice of yummy cake! And we can highly recommend the lentil soup too ... yum! A definite highlight in our Highlands holiday.
Having stayed at the Clachtoll beach campsite over the years we always made the effort of visiting here. Always been a delightful tearoom with fantastic home baking and freshly made meals. The setting is stunning and relaxing and a welcome break if your touring the area. Nice to see the place up and running again and all the best for the new owners.
A delightful stop on our cycling tour of Scotland. On a very hot day we climbed from Ullapool and could not have been happier to see the sign! The staff were very welcoming and offered complimentary and refreshing cold water to add to our orders of coffee and cake. The selection of cakes was excellent, the environment comfortable. All in all, a very happy experience - thank you.
We driven past this tea room over the years, until today when we decided it was the place to go, anywhere else was extra.
Good value, just baked scones, that pleased my wife, excellent home made plum jam, toasted sandwiches were a treat, people talking who've never met, the Highlands brings the best in people out.
Very clean toilet's.
The pictures are views from the car park.
Brilliant wee spot for lunch, unfortunately my soup (potato and leek) was a bit bland. But my husband enjoyed his cheese and onion toastie. The owners' granddaughters were doing the service that day and were brilliant.
Lovely place to stop for tea, coffee and naughties and wonderful outlook, very hospitable people
Such a gem! Love this little cafe. The location is spectacular, with incredible views of the Assynt mountains. The ladies that run it are warm and friendly. Everything is handmade in the cafe. Pea soup, lentil and bacon soup delicious. Had almost all of there cakes which are mouth wateringly good and the coffee is really smooth and full bodied. There is also a log burner when it is cold outside. An absolute must if you are nearby.
Lovely tea room located in the small village of Elphin. Coffee and cakes were fantastic. Nice vlean restrooms. Lovely selection of local handmade products and art.
We stopped on route for a cuppa and cake. Hubby enjoyed the ginger cake and I tried a plain scone with cream & jam. Honestly the best scone I've had (including the ones I tried in Devon).
A lovely cafe with some great views and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Toilets on site were clean and I also picked up a couple of beautiful fridge magnets.
A cute little tea room with very good coffee we also had the porridge cake (with blueberries) which was delicious. Very fur easy staff and good service.
The best scone, cream and jam that I've ever had! Great service, and amazing picturesque location.
