Thank you Katie and Stephen! We really enjoyed spending time with you et al in your wonderful pub. Your vision for it is definitely coming together..... Dave is really a bit of a fussy old so and so about the way beer is kept and I can tell you, we shall definitely be in again before we leave for home on Sunday! I'm so impressed with your selection of 21 gins! 2 down 19 to go..... I'll prob not get through that number before we go home..... what a shame, will just have to venture North again ! ���

Call in on a visit to the area. Although the venue was very busy we received a very warm frindly welcome. We ordered drinks and sat down but they kept serving lovely food and decided to eat as well. The food was excellent and served promptly. After eating we enquired about the accommodation and we’re shown around buy a lovely lady called Anne and the rooms are stunning. Only five rooms but all with on suite, bath robes and telescopes to take advantage of the dark skies we were really impressed. Unfortunately all rooms were taken but we will make a reservation and return.

We stopped here for a meal after being out all day sightseeing and driving around the beautiful countryside. The service was very good. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. They were large portions and very tasty. The only downside was the interior of the pub. It looked as though it needed an update. It was very old fashioned and the furnishings were somewhat worn out. Also, the ladies toilet would not flush as the handle was broken. We didn't stay long but it was a nice atmosphere and there was an old Duke box playing some good musit.

Totally recommend Bird in Bush for a short stay in attractive Elsdon. Our bedroom was clean and beautifully furnished and the bed super comfy. The meals in the bar were excellent and good value. And the local beer was very good. Above all, everyone was super friendly and welcoming - congratulations Jackie on the great bunch of people who work at Bird in Bush.

Stopped at Elsdon overnight on a van camping holiday recording for my YouTube channel More Than Just a Cleaner. We called in the local for a couple. It's a lovely little bar with friendly staff and customers and good beer.

Don't be deceived by the outside of this public house. Inside it is warm and inviting and the staff welcoming and friendly. It has a bright and open interior, pleasant on the eye. A good ranges of drinks and good food.

We had the loveliest meal and were served by extremely friendly staff, Yeanette and Pauline always had a smile on their face and made our day extra special! Would definitely recommend this place to everyone else! If I wasn’t visiting on holiday I’d be back very soon! xxx

Lovely homely feel, friendly and attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere - and the food was excellent, good value too.
Can't recommend highly enough - give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Had an absolutely lovely stay here the night before a wedding. Staff were very friendly and food was excellent. Room was comfortable and clean, also well equipped. Cracking pint of Guinness. Relaxing and charming. Would come again.

Stopped in on our cycle leg from Doxford Park to Bellingham. A very welcome pit stop after some challenging hills. Very friendly welcome, great sandwich with triple cooked crunchie chips.whats not to like! Great sun trap of a courtyard at the rear and additional benches outside on the green. A great pub in a very tranquil location. Would recommend.
