Lovely traditional Inn in beautiful Elterwater. Popped in for drinks after a walk and returned for an evening meal. Beer perfectly kept and a good selection of local brews. Food lovely with a simple locally-sourced menu. Staff superb, friendly and efficient. Booking advised for evening meals as it popular!

Over the past 25 years we've stayed at most of the pubs and hotels in the area and this is the best. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is really, really good. The beer selection is good and the accommodation, location and atmosphere are everything you could want.
Popped in for some food and drinks. When we first went in it was too busy and no chance of a table (we have a dog so limited option) Went elsewhere but came back for a drink later. Great pub lovely staff
Visited with friends for my wife’s birthday. Owner and staff gave great service. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Great beer, lovely beer garden, and make sure you book a table in restaurant if you want to eat as not guaranteed as people just turn up out of the blue from surrounding rentals.
Walked past here so many times over the years and for some reason only this year called in for a drink. Great atmosphere both inside and out, what a proper pub should be. Didn't eat but the food looked great. Great selection of beers!
