A quick bite to eat on the way to a funeral. The sandwiches came with chips which we did not really need and the were good but nothing to rave about. The bar staff were really nice and there was a good atmosphere.

My first visit here for an 18th birthday. As a party of 10 on a Sunday, I was impressed with how well we were looked after. Service was pleasant and well balanced. The food was served in good time and was very good. Chicken, pork, and beef, with plenty of veg and Yorkshire pudding, were all excellent quality and filling. The staff also served our own homemade cake with candles lit to finish off a great meal. Great atmosphere, excellent service. It was an enjoyable and memorable afternoon.

We popped in with no booking and managed to get a table, no problems. The food was good quality, the burger was cooked nicely crispy outside pink in the middle. It was a good size and none of us had room for pudding. Staff were friendly and attentive without rushing us. So we'll have to go again and update this review once we've sampled some of their offerings. A nice local pub, would visit again.

Great food. Real food prepared to order by real chefs. Definitely worth a visit if you want something better than standard pub grub or ping cuisine. 23/07/2023 EDIT: I still love this place. Always a very warm welcome and made to feel at home. Food is great and the place is obviously looked after well by staff as it's always clean and tidy. Service is always polite without being over powering. BUT (you could see that coming!), the owner (who is not the manager) does need to invest a little into basic things as its started to look a little tired, especially outside. Boards & signage outside are disintegrating. There's raised decking to the rear collapsing with multiple warped boards, holes and trip hazards. And get rid of the broken concrete "things", they do nothing for the outside area other than make it look a mess. (Uploaded photos) In short, still a great place to eat and be warmly welcomed. The interior is clean, tidy and well managed. Service is good. Outside is showing a degree of "tiredness" that could be simply fixed and improve first impressions to new customers. I will update in future visits.

Came in here with our friends for lunch today and was honestly blown away by the quality of the food. Each of our dishes was well presented and absolutely delicious (with good size portions too). I ordered the goats cheese and walnut salad and worried that it would be ‘boring’ but it was so good. Full of variety and flavours and big and filling too! Desserts were all spot on and the service was great. Fantastic gluten free options for my coeliac husband as well. Seems so much better here than when we last visited (quite a while ago) and we can’t wait to come back.

I liked this village pub and restaurant. Friendly welcome. Well kept beer. Good food, though portions could be a little larger.
