Our first trip to the UK and The Fish House was recommended by a local on the train we took. Great choice! Large portions, friendly folks behind the counter. Had some issues ordering because they don't take credit cards or American cash but we found a travel agency that helped with the currency exchange.

I wish they would get on Food Hub and Deliveroo. Always polite friendly female staff, and the food is delicious, I love their large cod chunks, and their homemade fishcake is delicious, chips are always fluffy on the inside, and their battered Sausage has the best flavour in Ely.

We went to Ely's town on our way back to London. This was the first place recommended by Google and it didn't disappoint at all. Fast and professional customer service. The portion of fish and chips was very generous and the taste was fantastic. I would recommend their food without hesitation.

Great place for a traditional fish and chips. A little bit greasier than I'd prefer but still delicious! Choose to sit outside or indoor seating area, with friendly staff.

I had a fantastic meal here of fish, chips and mushy peas, all cooked to perfection. One of the best meals I've had from a chippy! The team were lovely and very professional with quick service. I would certainly recommend to anyone in Ely.

Stopped here by chance when we were visiting Ely, the queue out of the shop suggested it might by good food, and it didn't disappoint.
Placed our order and were shown to a table with our food following just a few minutes later. Good value at £15 for 1 main meal, 1 portion of scraps and 2 drinks.

One of the best chippy suppers we've had in a while. Was visiting the Cathedral for an evening service and so glad we ate here afterwards. Fish was good quality and its batter was light & crisp. Peas, curry sauce and chips were spot on too. Well done guys!

Thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I'm new to the area, and happy to say this is my favourite chippy here so far. Large fish, isn't as large as others elsewhere, and no dandelion and burdock, but that's me being picky.
I look forward to my next visit.

The best fish and chips in Ely by far. Always busy, you should expect a wait since everything is cooked to order and in order. Unlike some places in town if you order haddock here you'll get haddock. Also the best mushy peas: they are a vegetable and not a watery sort of sauce. The atmosphere is bustley and buzzy and the young staff organised and efficient. Highly recommended.
