Nice comfortable pub. Nice welcome from staff. Yet not enough room to have music events . Too crowded. Can be a health issue to a customer.

Was spending a few nights at Ely whilst visiting Lakenheath and mildenhall. Must say this was a great pub and will definitely be visiting here again on my next trip to the area. Brilliant drink choice, nice music and atmosphere and friendly staff.

Town centre pub with conservatory and beer garden to the rear. Friendly barman who knew Flat Eric. Three real ales. Two from Mauldon and one from Listers. I had the Mauldon Mole Trap. A good session bitter at 3.8%.

Typical town centre pub with beer garden. Very good real ale, which is great value during happy hour(s)! Toilets could do with a refresh (and soap), but have experienced much worse. Staff were friendly, as were other folks in there with us.

Went in for a quick early evening drink b4 making our way to the maltings for noasis (the reason for our visit to Ely) we found the staff, landlord and landlady so very friendly and welcoming. We decided to go back after the gig and partied till the early hours! Fantastic night, good mix of music (although sadly missed the band) and brilliant atmosphere. Thanks for a great night guys we will return if our travels from Ipswich brings us back to Ely 🙂

Hidden Gem great staff and food. Don't judge a book by its cover. I had a great sausage and mash lunch and a cappuccino as good as any chain coffee shop. And the staff are friendly and knowledgeable on vegetarian issues. Throughly recommended. When I'm next in the area I'll be visiting again.

Lovely dog friendly pub - our dogs were given a very warm welcome - including a plate of treats. Relaxed atmosphere

Personally my experience was a banger, drinks mixed nicely and pints poured the way they should be, handled well by welcoming staff. Me, my girlfriend, her sister and colleague were all sat comfortably at a table close to the bar, the music set the mood as we had our beverages. Top knotch

Live music on a Sunday. Great beer and a proper pub atmosphere. I've always drunk here and I hope I always will. My local is the best. Understanding bar staff, punk and a supply of plastic bags when you need them. Extraneous needs coped with. My daughter always feels safe. That's important.
