I had to wait for my Kebab to be cooked up the road so we stopped and had a beer.
It was in really good condition (Butcombe Haka) and as it was warmer outside, we sat on the seats outside and watched Ely go by. A great selection of real ale as well.
Great place. Friendly staff. Only popped in for a couple of pints. Staff difused the fight between 2 older men a tad drunk but sent on there separate ways. Added to the entertainment that I know all too well about the bar industry. :)
The TV booths are amazing. Food is nice however got caught out on the special menu. Ordered the scampi and server said is that a small, I replied yes as I pointed to the option on the special menu I was holding. She assumed I meant off the small plates menu and not the special offer menu. Small plat

Love this pub. Serves good pub grub for a reasonable price, good choice of drinks, air con (life saver when camping in summer) and they allow dogs! Which is great for our little dog.
A fantastic pub, it may seem sports themed but on days significant matches aren't being held (most days of the year) this is a great family friendly place to eat. Offering a good selection of pub classics and well made food.

They are very lucky to have such a good team like Suzi, Steve and chef Chris. They are always smiling and and can't do enough for you. Love their breakfasts.
