Great local pub. The service was great, the beer selection good and the food delicious and hot!! The Polish broth was a tasty surprise. We'll definitely be heading back before our holiday ends!

Amazing local pub, great beers lovely food especially the Sunday dinner!!! Staff are very friendly and attentive. Advise booking as it gets busy which is a sign of a good pub. You might have a wait for food but we didn’t mind as you know it’s fresh home cooked delicious food.. definitely one of our favourites..

Nice to find a pub with such friendly staff and the beer was well kept. It was late afternoon and the pub was quiet and just nice to sit and enjoy.

Booked a table for 6 of us to eat here on a Friday evening. It was pretty busy so would recommend booking. The food was delicious and the service was good. All the staff were very friendly. The kids menu was better than most places, had the usual choices of chicken nuggets (which my son said were very tasty) and fish pieces but also had steak and ale pie option.

They squeezed us in at very short notice for tea. Very friendly, efficient staff from the moment we went in. We ordered steak and ale pie which came with an excellent portion of chips and garden peas, plus scampi and chips and salad all delicious good quality home cooked food. They were also very accommodating to our 2 dogs. Highly recommend for good priced food.

Very grateful for Grey’s fitting in our party of 6 for some food last minute on a Friday night. We were visiting the area for a wedding and didn’t realize a meal would be so hard to come by but Grey’s made it happen! Great little pub and everyone left full. The friendliness of the staff to everyone made it even better

Not sure who the chef is here but they need to keep them ! Delicious food in a very relaxed local pub with with no heirs and graces, just pleasant people in relaxed atmosphere. Decent selection of beers. Pleasant outside seating area to the rear if it’s warm enough! Enjoyed it so much on a recent visit to the area that we came back a couple of days later.

Really friendly landlady who remembers her customers. We love it here! See you when we are back next yr. New food menu is an added bonus.

Not a full review...as only stopped for quick drink...seems like a proper pub...good choice beer/cider etc...dog friendly.....

Traditional style, welcoming pub, with a high quality food offering, great selection of drinks and a special doggy bar with treats. Humans and cocker spaniel enjoyed it immensely.

Our family went for the Sunday roast, we had lamb and beef. Everything was very well prepared and tasted delicious. The owner and staff are lovely and welcoming.

Stopped for evening food - staff are really helpful and pleasant. Some good characterful beers (and Mead!). Food was straightforward but very very good. Would definitely stop here again.

We called at the Greys Inn for tea today,we are staying at Dunston hill caravan site, which is very handy to the pub . The pub is dog friendly which is a bonus. It was a lovely evening so we sat out side. Both me and my husband chose the steak and ale pie it was delicious big chunks of beef in a rich gravy topped off with puff pastry with chips and peas. It's the first time at the pub and site but will definitely be back . Only draw back was the beer garden at the rear was terraced so quite a few steps so that's why I deducted a star, but it's better than having no out side space.

Excellent service beer and food. This pub is the most dog friendly that we have ever been in. Thank all the staff for making a very wet weekend.

What a great place to eat. Rang up to book a table as it’s a cosy popular pub. Great service and lovely food. Friendly helpful staff and always a joy. We return to the area yearly and always pop in a couple of times for a meal. Great local knowledge even down to what tv program was being filmed round the corner and what tv stars are in the area. Fabulous place. Dog friendly too. Great place

Great little place loads of real ales and good food, dog friendly with a dog treat centre. Locals make you feel at home, so all round a nice place worth a visit.

Excellent meal. Friendly competent staff. Ate here twice. Fish and chips delicious voted best ever by one of our party. Fish platter starter also very good
