Well what can I say. The food here is absolutely superb. Beautiful surroundings and service with a smile 🙂. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, all cooked from scratch and piping hot. I've always wanted to try the Black Horse and so glad I did. This is a place where I will gladly return to. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves a homemade menu. Plenty of choice - beautifully presented. 10 out of 10 We can't wait to go back Sue Hughes ♥️

We have started revisiting The Black Horse again after many years away. The new management are trying really hard to encourage the return of old customers and new. I visited the pub today with my wife and friends for breakfast. In summary a very good experience. The Service. Was prompt and attentive and the staff were polite. The Food. A range of breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches on the menu provided a good choice along with drinks. The Traditional English breakfast was very good with good quality bacon and sausages in stark contrast to recent experiences in other establishments that provide inferior quality. The breakfast was well presented well cooked and tasted just as a traditional breakfast should. Well done will be a repeat customer.

Beautiful pub inside and very homely . We really enjoyed the food, so nice 🥰really tasty😋😋. The staff and owner is so friendly... A enjoyable evening out was had by all our family. We definitely go back again ❤❤.

I've been to the Black Horse Endon today for lunch with my sister. The food was beautiful. The cheesecake was the best I've ever tasted. 😋 everything was cooked as we asked. The waiter was very good & efficient & very pleasant. Well worth the visit, money well spent. Will definitely be going back for more ☺️

My friend and I attended for the 1st time and had a lovely dining experience. The place was full and we had to park on the road behind the car park. Even though there were so many people in for Sunday lunch, the service was great. We chose Beef and Lamb dinners which were good sized portions so we didn't manage to eat every bit. The meat was very tender and all of the potatoes, veg and Yorrkshire pudding were fresh and delicious. Unfortunately we couldn't manage a pudding so Mandy recommended that we could try a children's size meal next time and then a pudding if we preferred. A few minutes later the landlady, Gina, came over and introduced herself and chatted for a few minutes which we thought was a wonderful gesture and excellent customer service. We will definitely visit again as the entire team were polite and thoughtful and it was so refreshing to have fabulous customer service. We are looking forward to trying other dishes on the extensive menu, Thanks to all the staff.

Absolutely fantastic food and even better staff! A real hidden gem 💎 Would highly recommend for anyone passing by and I will certainly be visiting again soon!

The black horse is a family favourite go to for us! We recently booked a large family meal of 22 people for our daughter’s 16th birthday. The staff were very accommodating and friendly throughout the whole meal! They couldn’t do enough to ensure our meal ran smoothly! The food was amazing as always and all meals came out not long after each other considering it was a large booking! Thank you soo much! We cannot wait to come Back soon!

I have been visiting The Black Horse for vegan food for 7 years & it never disappoints. The staff were amazing & so was the new management. It was a lovely atmosphere. Perfect for a sunny afternoon out. Definitely will be back!

Went here for lunch I had beefchilli burrito with half chips half rice Joan had the special meat and potaoe pie with carrots was more veg but she did not want it was £ 31 for two meals and a pint of lager and half of bitter

Lovely meal our for mother in laws birthday. We had a mixture of vegan and non vegan food. Everything was lovely. Came out piping hot and was delicious. Vegan brownie was to die for. Staff lovely as always and the new manager even came to have chat to us before we left. Highly recommend paying them a visit.

Hadn’t been for a very long time and friends were suggested it. Food and service were great. Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be back.

This pub is excellent, great food. The chips are amazing. Good choice of gluten free options. Lovely friendly, professional staff who make you feel welcome. Well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous friendly service food was superb quick service food hunters chicken, scampi and battered cod also a child’s sausage and mash all came looking and tasting beautiful. Desserts were delicious and larger than expected! Price was great couldn’t believe how cheap for 5 of us! Thank you I will be returning!

We had a 70th birthday meal for my mother in law last night & the service was outstanding and so was the food. Everything came out hot and tasted lovely and may I add there were 17 of us which to cater for all and to make sure all went to plan the team at the black horse did a brilliant job. They sang and made a fuss when we all sang happy birthday and the fact my mother in law said it was her best birthday ever! I think this just tops it off ❤️

Randomly popped The Black Horse, in Endon today. I don't normally bother with reviews, but felt this one was needed. For a small pub, I can honestly say the food was fantastic. Both my partner, and myself and also our two children aged 6 and 14 really enjoyed every bit of our meals. The beef lasagne was perfect, my eldest and partner both had baguettes which they 100% enjoyed. Even our youngest who is fussy enjoyed her meal. The desserts were fab, we enjoyed cheese cake and sticky toffee pudding. Yum yum! The pub itself is lovely, clean and the staff are genuinely lovely and polite. We've said we shall 100% be back again very soon as we completely enjoyed ourselves. Best pub meal we have had in a long time! Thank you very much!!!!

We enjoyed the act of ordering from an extensive vegan menu almost as much as the food itself. It was good value for such huge portions and the staff were very friendly. We had a Vegan Combo to share for our starter. By the time we were half way through our mains we were getting concerned that we may not have space for dessert. The staff were kind enough to box the remainders up. This gave us the opportunity to sample the tasty banana fritters with salted caramel ice cream! We appreciated the leisurely pace of the meal. There was no rush and we had time to relax between each course. We will definitely be returning and would gladly recommend this restaurant to others.

Went for a family meal yesterday and what can I say, it was amazing, food was fresh, didn't have to wait long, the portion sizes were very good, being a vegan the choices were very good and not boring either, polite friendly staff. Definitely returning for lunch on my birthday!! Thank you to the staff.

Drawn in by promises of a vegan menu as delicious as the regular one, and they didn't disappoint. A talented chef that can cook and please everyone,. A three course vegan menu with three choices of starter main and desert, in a cosy pub with friendly helpful staff. It was our first visit. First of many :)

Had a lovely Vegan meal ! Very good value quality food , large menu with specials board and Vegan menu :) staff all lovely and very helpful , will return and recommend x

We have eaten here on numerous occasions with their very generous portions. This time is the first time we have left still feeling hungry!! We both ordered the steak and ale pie which is usually full of meat and very thick. This time there was roughly 4/5 chunks of meat which were swimming in gravy. It was more like a soup than a pie. I have never had a pie that u can tip out of the dish and use the contents over the chips as a gravy. I have never complained before about food but I was so disappointed that I told the waitress who didn't seem bothered. I don't think we will be returning any time soon. Such a shame!!

Fantastic choice of vegan food and even a vegan chocolate brownie with vegan ice cream - will definitely be going back and working my way through all of the vegan options! Lovely setting and lovely atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon.

went for lunch with friends on Wednesday lunch time and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. We didn't have to wait long to be served and the portion was just right. Will definitely return.

Extensive menu and great too see extensive vegan and vegetarian menu. Huge portions so you won't go hungry. Staff were attentive and we both had cheese pie swapped the veg for beans which wasn't a problem. Food its self was good but not excellent would definitely recommend and return.

Myself and my Granddaughter had a vegan meal also a vegan desserts and they were excellent and a credit too your staff who served us she was excellent.

Had my first visit today.My son took me for a belated birthday meal, as he has been a few times before and was impressed by the extensive vegan menu....and he wasn't wrong !! Huge choice, large portions and all excellent quality, in a warm and welcoming environment.I would highly recommend The Black Horse to anybody

Had one of the best vegan meals here tonight! The Moroccan chickpea and lentil burger was gorgeous and you definitely won't leave hungry! Will be coming again!

What a great place to eat. The cajun burger was so tasty. The addition of a cooked pepper enhanced the flavour. Eton mess was tasty. We will be back.
