Possibly the best cafe on the quay. It's been a while since I last visited The Ridge but i'll be back again soon. Lovely range of cakes and sandwidges, lovely coffee and friendly staff - also very welcoming to dogs
Really lovely staff here and the bagels are the best I’ve tasted this side of Brick Lane. So glad we decided to park this side of the quay!
One of the best ranges of cakes & donuts on the quay!!
Spoilt for choice!! Always yummy 😋

Around the Exeter Quay there are several cafes, bakeries and restaurants. The Ridge was recommended by my niece as having great coffee and yes they do!
The range of cakes, donuts and pastries is super too, along with their toasted sandwiches and bagels. A nice side salad might help too.... maybe consider having salad Saturday if salads are not popular throughout the week! 😜
The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful; they are more than happy to explain every dish and answer any questions.
Everything is made from scratch and it’s visible in the quality of the products.
The cakes are absolutely delicious.
The carrot cake is a must-try, while you are it also try one of their sandwiches.
I highly recommended this cafe, anything you try will amaze you.
In my opinion one of the best coffee shops in the Exeter area, great selection of coffees and other drinks. Food is fresh and absolutely delicious (try the donuts) 😁😄. Staff are welcoming and extremely friendly. Very clean and tidy.
My boss and I stopped here for a coffee before our finance meeting. Lovely counter arrangement of delicious cakes, bins, muffins, cheesecake, such a welcome sight for the eyes......
Unfortunately the same couldn't be said from the three servers on duty. We waited for someone to acknowledge us and say good morning abd it just wasn't happening, no eye contact, they knew we were there, yet continue to keep their heads down. So we broke the silence and said good morning could we order a drink and the young male barista at least replied. He did a great latte decoration and the Terry's chocolate orange cheesecake was delicious. Bacon butty was OK but needs love and care.
Ridge team you need to be more welcoming and look happy in your work, and think about how you can make your bacon butties more appealing
Excellent chicken and chorizo sandwich. an average at best ham and cheese one, definitely not worth the price
This coffee shop is hidden round the corner from the main Piazza area, it’s a little gem, amazing selection of sandwiches ready for toasting, donuts and other sweet treats along with coffee, tea and soft drinks. I had the goats cheese and beetroot toasted sandwich with fig chutney, which I can recommend. It might not have views of the harbour but it’s worth taking 2mins of your time to have a look before you follow the crowd. The staff where welcoming and very helpful. I will definitely be here again next time I find myself on Exeter Quayside.
A nice small cafe with a good selection of homemade cakes and bakes. Extremely lovely staff and well made drinks, all at very reasonable prices!
