Sometimes simple things are the best without any fuss, a simple menu at extremely decent prices with decent portion sizes. Great swift service and a warm welcome. Can’t really complain. Well worth a visit for lunch or dinner which won’t break the bank or compromise on quality a real hidden gem in my opinion

Simple menu but decent sizes and tasty! For the cheap price it's a nice place to eat with friendly staff and 20% off food whilst staying at the Travelodge. Though I would ask the bar for more choice on drinks.

Chef did an incredible job with the food... Really nice!!!! DEFINITELY worth visiting instead of the main services, follow signs for the Travelodge! Great food, generally quiet and a nice chilled out break from driving... As opposed to the chaos of the main services area.
Stayed in Travel Lodge on 1st August and found the Bar Grill was off the reception, looked clean and discount for guests was inviting offer. The bar staff were friendly and helpful and there was a great choice of food on the menu.
At 6.00pm it was not too busy and the food was serviced up in a only a short time. It was well presented and looked appetising. Waitress was helpful and asked if there anything else I wanted or needed.
The food tasted as good as it looked, from recent experience it was better than a mixed grill from a Harvester restaurant.
From my experience the Bar Grill offers Great food, Great price, Great staff. I Would certainly visit again
I do agree with other reviews about the services - nightmare on the roundabout just to get in.
My husbands fish was really dry, but they immediatly changed it for something else. I had bangers & mash, really good , simple but good tasty food. Got a discout because we were staying in Travel Lodge. It is all in the same building, so could not have been more convenient. The prices were great. Would definatly use again, the staff were extreemly helpful & friendly
Warm, welcoming staff and the service was great.
The drinks aren't expensive and the food was really nice.
There's a nice open bit out the back for the kids to run around in but there was only one or two tables to sit in the sun.
Nice atmosphere. Attentative staff. Food was ok for a reasonable price. Very thorough cleaning down of each table when guests leave
Been here a few times now, staff friendly and food very good. Had fish today and it was freshly battered. Worth a visit.
