Peppino Restaurant

We came here for the first time on a whim a couple of weeks ago, based on Google reviews, and I am so glad we did! As soon as we walked in on a dreary rainy November day, we were greeted with a very warm welcome, and seated in a booth. The menu was quite big and we didn't really know where to start! But in the end we ordered a mezze platter, some crispy potatoes, halloumi and the fatat lamb (maybe lamb fatat? Something along those lines!) We were not disappointed at all. It was all absolutely delicious, and beautifully presented too! The lamb especially was incredible. Staff were really kind and friendly, couldn't ask for more. We will definitely be back 👍 looking forward to it already!

Finally got to eat here, had been on the list for a while. Staff are great, really welcoming and friendly. Food was beautiful, lovely presentation, massive portions and awesome flavours - really fresh, all prepared and cooked to order. Reasonably priced, great value for money lovely atmosphere..really nice place to go for a long slow meal with friends. Definitely going back soon and regularly...and when my family are I'm town we will book in for the whole lamb(!) ~£200 for 10 people..will be amazing!!

I absolutely love this place; Sami the owner is super attentive and just a wonderful host - I walk in and feel like I’ve entered a home in the Middle East, he’s just so welcoming. The food is also locally sourced and fresh, delicious and made while you wait. We used to go every week before lockdown and hadn’t been for a while - it’s now had a total refurbishment and everything has been replaced - with beautiful handmade furnishings. Absolutely love the murals on the walls by a local artist as well and they now also do Arabic coffee! Definitely Exeter’s best food place.

Food is delicious, large portions . Totally fresh. Great service. You have the option of eating outside, which is great when the weather is good. When its cold there is ample heating. Maybe a nice Shisha after your food. I would recommend Peppinos a great experience in Exeter. Right up there if not the best.

Highly recommend! The food is delicious. The portion is huge - we have four men, but only one of us can finish the plate. The mixed grill plate is fantastic. The whole chicken with rice is also good (with just a price at nine pounds). That Calamari is superb, very crispy outside and tender inside. Nice ambiance, cosy, and clean restaurant. The staffs are incredibly friendly and polite. Just another perfect restaurant I have ever visited. We will definitely come back again.
