Didn't have any food but my girlfriend and I had 2 excellent beers. As we are real ale / IPA drinkers, I had the Sax which we both thought was amazing! Service was great and atmosphere in the historic pub just right.

Stayed 2 nights. Comfortable bed. Nice shower. Would absolutely stay again. Right in the center of town, definitely some noise from the pub and street below. But you can’t beat being in the center of town.

Zak is lovely man and very nice bartender for shots and overall cocktails. Very fun man and positive attitude to his job, looks like he wants to be there rather than has to! Especially on Saturday night. Respect! Pay rise? haha

Fabulous micro brewery, great ales and deceptively large inside, definitely worth a visit.

Great atmosphere to watch rugby. Local brews. Does get very hot when it's crowded. Staff are friendly and it's a good-looking pub. Isn't the cheapest pub, but quality over quantity

Fabulous hotel right in the heart of the city centre. Well-designed boutique rooms with everything you need, including a coffee machine, ironing board, fan and large TV. Despite its proximity to the pub, I couldn't hear any noise and slept like a baby. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Great atmospheric pub with plenty of different corners to enjoy many of the tasty in-house brewed ales. Room was cosy and the bead squeaked in style for a 13th century build property. Make sure you check out the guildhall next door. Service was throughout excellent. Good stuff!

What a great pub! Service was really welcoming & friendly, also people with (obviously) great beer knowledge. In-house brewed beer was delicious. Try the Tropic Thunder for a tasty session. We stayed here too & the decor was really nicely done. Super comfy & well appointed, lovely touches in the room & slept really well. Thank you for a great time. We will definitely be back!
