Lovely meal so glad we came, our kids truly enjoyed their meal.
Lovely pizza and pasta! Wine was really good.

It's a great restaurant. This is an example of how a family business should work. The owner is always in the restaurant, greeting guests, asking how they are doing and helping in the hall. We've been here three times now and every time it's a feastival of food, it's very tasty and elegant. Great Italian atmosphere and now you have regular customers, this is definitely a place you want to come back to. Special thanks for helping Ukrainians. See you soon.

Lovely restaurant that we stopped into for lunch on a whim and so glad we did.
Food was lovely and the staff very friendly.
Best pizza in a very long time with lovely bruschetta to start.
Everything was made fresh which is what you want

Food is delicious, the garlic bread is more like a pizza, you should share it 😁👍, the ambience is nice and modern, very convinient seats, the service is attentive and takes good care of you. Definitly to recommend.

Drove past this place so many times. First visit for lunch, arrived to a very warm welcome casual and welcoming. Had the veggie pizza calamari and tomato brushetta. Well all were presented well fresh and really tasty will definitely return no more driving past .

This is a wonderful family business. The food is amazing, the owner is friendly, with a genuine desire to please his customers. All staff are pleasant.

What a wonderful dinner we had. I loved the Penne al Salmone, very tasty and my partner enjoyed the Ravioli al fungi. Our daughters enjoyed their carbonaras and their desserts got a thumbs up too - yummy chocolate mousse and mango sorbet. Fantastic service, very friendly and efficient during a busy service. Thumbs up all round - thank you! A nice welcome, fab food and great atmosphere

Good Italian restaurants in Devon are very few and far between.
On this basis, Il Grano is a revelation; the staff were faultless from start to finish and carried themselves in an authentically Italian manner; it felt family run.
The food was delicious, and 5 empty plates were left at the end of the night, albeit quite the challenge to finish my calzone.
Whilst, clearly not intended as a restaurant aimed at catering solely for children, the staff were very accomodating to my 2 year old son; providing paper and crayons to keep him entertained.
I will be recommending to anyone looking for a refreshingly authentic Italian.

I had the choice of a Lamb Shanks or Salmon. I opted for the Shanks. This was divine. My wife went for the Risotto, and this was also delicious. For wine, I had the choice of a Merlot, Carbanet Sauvignon, or Shiraz. The Merlot was really nice, the perfect drink. Really high profile restaurant in Pinhoe. Polite and friendly staff. Really great experience and could redefine date night.

First time visiting ill Grano for a special occasion. Atmosphere instantly welcoming and a place you feel comfortable, decor great. Surprised at queueing out the door (always a good sign). Waiting staff very attentive and friendly. Food really good (deceptively large portions). Would go again for another special occasion.

Delicious! We will be back. Advisable to book at popular times. Friendly service great staff. All 6 of us ate every scrap. Dishes? Duck breast, lamb shank, calzone, spaghetti with sea food. A little more per head than normally spend but worth it.

I ate at Il Grano with a business colleague whilst staying in Exeter on business this week. I can absolutely recommend it. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, the waiting staff and host were fantastic and most importantly the food was excellent and of generous quantity. Don’t let the suburban location fool you, this is an absolute gem of an Italian restaurant.

Three visits now - every one excellent. The team are very friendly, calm and skilled. The food is delicious and authentic. We've tried the pasta, pizza and risotto options so far and all have been really tasty. Kids meals are good too and not some basic freezer option, but proper cooking, even the desserts. The lunch menu is particularly good value, with weekdays not too busy if you want a chilled meal. It's certainly worth travellling a distance for, but for those of us in this quadrant of Exeter, poorly served for good eating, it's an absolute gem. And it has parking around the back, so very convenient. It's a cut above most meals we've had in Exeter and well worth a visit if you haven't been.

Me and my friends went here today on a whim not sure what to expect. We can all hands down say this was one of the best italians we have eaten at! I had the seafood stew- portion size was great! The food was delicious, and the vibe and reception was fantastic too. Recommend to anyone!

What a great new restaurant to hit Pinhoe. Had an amazing Spaghetti Bolognese and the Profiteroles were to die for.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Try this place out it was a great evening with great food.
There were minor issues that I put down to the restaurant being newly opened and they are still settling in. Like the menu items were a little confused. Along with coke and other fizzies there was pelagrino. I order thinking i would get a lemon can but instead got sparkling water. Like i said very minor and the staff resolved very quickly and without fuss. This did not detract from a lovely evening though.
Try the Profiteroles!
