Beautiful country pub in the Peak District. We had lunch with friends and everything was perfect: the food (great fish and chips, fantastic pie), the beer, and the cozy atmosphere. The village is worth seeing. Top experience.
This is a lovely pub with wonderful rooms in a great part of the country. The only issue we had was a chef not turning up one morning and his replacement being less than excellent. All other staff were wonderful.
Pre-booked an evening meal as a couple whilst staying in the village. Food was excellent. Freshly prepared and really tasty. Staff were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping our drinks topped up. Highly recommend a visit and we hope to come back soon!
We were staying in the village and enjoyed a lunch and an evening meal. Both meals fabulous. The host was friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, the food was well cooked, presented well and tasted delicious.Could not have asked for better and so reasonably priced. Thank you!

Highly recommended. Friendly serv

We were very surprised at the quality of the food and the reasonable prices! We stayed in an AirBnB in the village and visited the pub because it was convenient, but if we're i
We had a delicious lunch of posh sandwiches served with great chips and salad, sitting in the sunshine in this picturesque village. I has roasted pepper and avocado sandwiches on sourdough bread - possibly the best sandwiches I've ever had! And excellent value for money. The beer was good too, and t
