Service was slightly unwelcoming initially but the food was actually very good. Sausage cooked to order, fish cake, chips fresh from the fryer and peas - all great.

Great large cod, proper like. And portion size of two large cod and one large chips was more than a middle aged man and his teenage son could eat. Will become my go to fish and chip shop.

Visited several times, all my family now visit, great fish and chips! Really big portions which we like, friendly staff and the best prices! Better than any you’d find along the coast!

After a day trip to Holkham Bay we decided to get fish and chips at Wells-next-the-Sea figuring it wouldn't be busy at 8pm, we were so wrong, massive queues. Phoned an order through to Golden Fish & Chips and collected on the way back to Ipswich. My large Cod was about two inches thick and nearly all fish. I struggled to finish and I'm a big lad. Excellent food and service.

Today, I brought cod n chips from this fine establishment. I had a fantastic meal.
Eat in or takeaway, cosy atmosphere, but not cramped at all.
The frying oil, was tasty and definitely not old. New potatoes, and great offers available.
Mushy peas or Curry sauce is available free of charge if you buy a fish n chips meal. Fantastic

been here many times while in the area, same perfect service every time we go. quick, good size portions and a wide choice of meals. they even have a few tables and chairs inside so you can sit down and eat which is brilliant for a little chip shop! 5 stars from chunk.

Can't fault the food from this place. It's not expensive. Decent sized portions, when you order large, you get large. Everything tastes good, the cod, the battered sausages, the fish cakes, the chicken nuggets, and most importantly the chips are spot on. This is one of our favourite fish and chip shops.
