Chianti

I have visited Chianti several time and always the food was very good. There is plenty free parking at the restaurant. That tree in the restaurant doesn't do anything for the atmosphere but that is a personal opinion some people might love it I rather have an authentic Italian feel in an Italian restaurant. The service was OK no pleasantries but can't blame the girl who served us. The patio with the outdoor pizza oven could do with a tidy up it looks abandoned. It's a shame that little easily fixed details let it down a bit as the food is really good. I don't know if it happened to anyone else but I got charged for items I didn't have once I put it down to an honest mistake but can't help asking for the receipt to see if my bill is right. It never happened after that one time The food is good so I will keep going back to Chianti. If you like Italian food, who doesn't, I can recommend Chianti.

We were staying nearby at the Macdonald Inchyra and didn't really fancy the restaurant at the hotel so we searched what was nearby and this came up with good reviews so we hopped in the car think it was about a 4 min journey and it was pretty quiet when we arrived about 5pm'ish on a Mon night just one other family in. The decor is beautiful. I would of loved to have seen it on a darker night all lit up. Food and drinks came pretty quick. Food was lovely. Great prices too. Staff very friendly. Would definitely return again if we were in the area.

First time here, despite it being only 5 minutes along the road. It was quite quiet, but then its a Wednesday in January and its freezing outside. First impression was how light abd airy it felt even with the large arteficial tree, but that made it a bit quirky. Starters were the meat balls and the calamari. Both were delicous, the meat balls quite firm in a sauce just right, the calamari was in a nice light batter and cooked just right. The nains were a Quatro Stagioni pizza calzone and Rigatoni Toscana. The pizza was huge with plenty if filling with a realy nice spicy italian sausage and ham. The dough was well cooked, not dry like some. The Rigatoni had a rich sauce and again was well cooked. I had a banoffee pie, which was individual and served in a glass. Again well presented, and the other half had an americano coffee, which she said was hot and strong, how she liked them. We both had a glass of wine which was priced very reasonable for a restaurant. The staff were efficient without being overbearing. We will be back, I'm sure.
