Monterey Jack's

Went for lunch on a Monday. Very quiet, but the service was second to none. Food was good, although my burger was a bit dry. Sweet potato fries were delicious. Key lime pie sounded fab but was overly sweet and sickly, but I ate it anyway! My companions were satisfied with their meals too. I would definitely pay it another visit. Prices are reasonable, slightly on the high side. Restaurant is well laid out and very clean.

Go! This place changed in a good way! I used to think it wasn't that great 3 years ago and didn't go back. My friend took me to lunch last week and i had the honey chicken fingers meal and it was delicious and a good sized portion. So good i went back at the weekend with my boyfriend for a burger. The cocktail was £6.95 and the burger meal was about £13. The halloumi were the best I've ever had. Plenty of seats in the place. You can't book online a table for 2 for example they only do a booking for 6 or more. Which is very frustrating and a bit off putting so we went early on a Friday! They have a new menu that came out last week too. Great selection of food, drinks, desserts etc. Would recommend!

The food at Monterey Jack's is always very high quality. The only issue we had was the staff seemed a bit confused, as if it was their first day (which it may have been). The free refill on qualifying drinks were not refilled, I'd expect it to have been taken care of by the staff automatically. Portion sizes are on the large side, I ate two sides and had ice cream and was totally full. The meal was under £40 for the two of us which is fine given the tasty food.

Initially I thought the food would be fairly poor when I saw the prices but was surprised when it arrived. The food was excellent and the unusual combo of vegetarian burger and maple syrup worked really well, recommended and looking forward to visiting again. The staff were great too and the service was quicker than average. The only reasons for not giving the place five stars was that the music was far too loud to have a conversation over lunch and our burgers would have been easier to eat on plates rather than bowls.

Very nice restaurant with good food. Large portions and nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and welcoming. Huge restaurant area with plenty of tables but probably worth booking a table at peak times. Mains don't come with sides so need ordering separately. Desserts were excellent (if you have room!). Great meal and will return.
