Definitely would recommended going to Niks restaurant if you are in Falmouth or for that matter Cornwall. Myself and my partner have come down to visit my best friend and her husband and new baby and we came for lunch. It was the first time opening for lunch and hopefully won't be the last. Nik and his sous chef were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. For one of the partner who know can't have dairy he changed part of the menu, and then before our mains we had beautiful sourdough with the most amazing chicken butter, my boyfriend loved it and then Nik made us tub full which we went to pick up later that evening. One happy boyfriend! Can't wait to visit next time we are down.

As a chef of 25 years experience and counting I often find myself being overcritical when dining out. But in this occasion I had not a single stray thought beyond simple enjoyment. Outstanding. In every respect,from the welcome to the goodbye the service was warm,friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was beautifully executed and presented. Nothing was under or over seasoned, everything was fresh and appealing to the eye. Well balanced and lovingly cooked,all those small details paid due attention( You can tell if a rare steak was allowed to reach room temp before cooking for example). A place I look forward to dining at again. A joy to find tucked away in Falmouth. If you happen to be in town.... Go there.
