Ask Italian

This was our first time at an 'ASK' restaurant and we really enjoyed our food and the service here. Staff were really friendly and polite and very attentive. The service was relatively quick (but no so quick you fele rushed) and the food was absolutely delicious! The kids meal deal offer here is really good value, 3 courses plus a babychino for just under £7 which is brilliant and the adults main menu is very reasonable priced. We're a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) and we at a 3 course meal here for just under £60 (shared starter for the adults, 2 mains and 2 desserts plus a drink each then the kids deal and another kids drink) Would definitely return if in the area and will be on the lookout for other branches in other areas.

Without a booking, we were squeezed in for a late afternoon (Sunday). It was busy. My wife ordered pizza to share and a portion of chips with garlic dip each, coke and a larger shandy. When the food arrived the pizza was ample and tasted lovely as for the chips they were really out of this world fried perfectly and crunchy to the bit with a fluffy inside delicious, good service total bill of £30 we will return.

Not impressed at all. All 4 of us were not satisfied and the quality of the food is not good. Couldn’t even call this Italian restaurant... Also.. sorry to say but the waiter that brought us the food to the table was kind a rude and almost screamed when she spoke. We were just 4 sitting and relaxing as she came all stressed out and screaming! The restaurant was almost empty... she brought the food in a hurry and screamed over the table. - I was 2 seconds away from to tell her to relax! - The pasta tasted just like a 5 minuet airport pasta. The calzone pizza was not tasty and they even use canned mushrooms! Not fresh mushrooms. Then kids pizza could have been frozen Tesco pizza. No difference... I don’t recommend this place at all. No standards and not worth it

Came here for our wedding anniversary meal. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere with welcoming staff and a comprehensive menu. The food is very well presented and with a good selection of wines, beers and ciders to accompany your meal. We used a taste card which gives you a discount, not available on Fridays it saves you a little extra. But the food is well priced and as it tastes so good it's worth it. I recommend that you visit this restaurant if you like Italian food but even if you are not a lover there is many anglosised meals.

Nearly walked out as it took so long to be greeted and order our drinks at the table we were directed to. At the end when I raised this, the waiter blamed the new barmaid, when it was the ordering of the drinks and food (his job) that was the issue. Food was reasonably good, but every time we've been here there it's always a battle to order or pay.
