Love this place. Small menu, therefore freshly prepared food. Limited wine list but something for everyone. Friendly welcoming service. Oldy woldy style. I would recommend.

I booked a Saturday lunch for 14 of us (8 adults and 6 kids aged 7-16) at less than a week's notice. As we were a large group we were asked to pre-order our starters and main courses by the day before (by email), which made the experience much smoother for us as well as the staff - the food arrived promptly and we didn't have to interrupt our chat with food decisions. All the food was excellent, freshly made and well worth the price, and service was welcoming and prompt without feeling rushed. We had a corner of the pub to ourselves with some extra seating so the kids could play games and chat once they'd finished eating. A number of us had desserts / coffee too which were similarly delicious. It has a lovely old country pub feel and everything including the loos was scrupulously clean. I really couldn't fault it in any way - it was a wonderful lunch and the whole experience from booking to departing was pleasant and easy. It's not always simple to manage this with such a large group, so thanks to everyone at the Woodman!

We stopped here for a drink whilst out walking. Nice decor and atmosphere but the range of beer available was a bit disappointing, maybe we came on a day where stocks were low?

An enjoyable place to eat, service was effective and we were made to feel welcomed. The food was really high quality and extremely tasty. Prices were as expected for the location. If in the area do book ahead as popular.

Yes, yes , yes ! . Great location for Sunday lunch. You will not be disappointed. A warm and friendly greeting was followed up by first-class service, fantastic food, and a chilled family atmosphere. Everything is thought of down to the delivery of the cutlery ( nice touch ) . Well stocked beer and wine cellar with plenty of variety. Varied choice on the menu to cater to all dietary requirements 😋 . We were celebrating 🍾 an 86th birthday in the family at the Woodman Inn . We were well looked after and look forward to going back for another superb meal experience. Complements to all staff involved. 😉
