Decided to pop by yesterday for a late fish & chips. One of the best fish and chips takeaways we've ever ordered. Batter was cripsy and delicious and chips were excellent too! The jumbo cod is truly jumbo; I couldn't finish it! The staff were friendly (unlike a lot of takeaways) and the service was relatively quick. Well recommended!

Had a great chippy dinner tonight. Boyfriends fishcake and sausage were good. Battered sausage and cod bites were amazing. Nice and crispy. Asked for no salt this time because last time they were very heavy on the salt. Overall a success!

Decent battered fish cooked freshly to order and well cooked chips. £11.10 for small cod, chips and mushy peas which is more than most local chip shops and average size portions. This was the price charged in the shop for takeaway. I do not use delivery services. Plastic bags are offered which cost 10p which I find strange. Fish and chips should never be put in plastic bags because they cause the food to go soggy from the trapped steam - please offer paper bags (or just wrap in paper) instead like most good fish and chip shops do!

Just had fish and chips with curry sauce and a battered sausage and the food was some of the best we have ever had from a chippy the curry sauce was outstanding

Great Fish & Chips food is always constant, Fresh, Hot &Just Cooked! Gluten-Free fish and chips twice a week and they are so good our friend comes down from Shropshire to have them. yes some times you go in and some staff look miserable and not friendly this is not all of them, they have some great ones too! This does not affect the quality of the food! Portion sizes are generous but if your feeling hungry get the next size up don't moan there wasn't enough chips in a small Hints in the name (SMALL) This is the cleanest fish & Chip shop i have ever seen. Highly Recommend you give it a Try! You wont be disappointed

Very small portion of chips compared to other local chippies. Had to wait some time for our saveloys and they weren't very hot.

Amazing! Best fish and chip shop I've ever been too! Food was spot on! We got there and we're straight in and ordered but there was soon a queue of people waiting to get theirs! Very popular by the looks of it.

Excellent fish and chips. 99/100. Only comment is that I find it unusual that they charge 10p for a biodegradable carrier bag. Correct me if I'm wrong but the 5p/10p bag charge was to discourage people taking a bag that takes 100 years to break down, if the bag is now eco-friendly, what's the point in the charge?

Just wow. We have been to many, many fish and chip shops in our time but The Big Fry stands out. wow We had a problem with our order (it was our mistake) but Charlie couldn’t do enough. He insisted we came back when he was there and when we did he bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. He explained that he wants everyone to be happy and enjoy their food. Absolutely wonderful team and we will be back. Thank you Charlie. Your team and you are doing a fab job and your approach is a joy to experience. Thoroughly recommend. 🙏🙏
