Just had fish and chips with curry sauce and a battered sausage and the food was some of the best we have ever had from a chippy the curry sauce was outstanding

Had a great chippy dinner tonight.
Boyfriends fishcake and sausage were good.
Battered sausage and cod bites were amazing. Nice and crispy.
Asked for no salt this time because last time they were very heavy on the salt. Overall a success!

Decided to pop by yesterday for a late fish & chips.
One of the best fish and chips takeaways we've ever ordered. Batter was cripsy and delicious and chips were excellent too!
The jumbo cod is truly jumbo; I couldn't finish it!
The staff were friendly (unlike a lot of takeaways) and the service was relatively quick.

Decent battered fish cooked freshly to order and well cooked chips. £11.10 for small cod, chips and mushy peas which is more than most local chip shops and average size portions. This was the price charged in the shop for takeaway. I do not use delivery services.
Plastic bags are offered which cost 10p which I find strange. Fish and chips should never be put in plastic bags because they cause the food to go soggy from the trapped steam - please offer paper bags (or just wrap in paper) instead like most good fish and chip shops do!

Excellent fish and chips. 99/100. Only comment is that I find it unusual that they charge 10p for a biodegradable carrier bag. Correct me if I'm wrong but the 5p/10p bag charge was to discourage people taking a bag that takes 100 years to break down, if the bag is now eco-friendly, what's the point in the charge?

Very small portion of chips compared to other local chippies. Had to wait some time for our saveloys and they weren't very hot.

Just wow. We have been to many, many fish and chip shops in our time but The Big Fry stands out. wow
We had a problem with our order (it was our mistake) but Charlie couldn’t do enough. He insisted we came back when he was there and when we did he bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. He explained that he wants everyone to be happy and enjoy their food. Absolutely wonderful team and we will be back.
