I enjoyed a nice meal here on a Tuesday evening. Plenty of space and very friendly staff. I thought the menu looked a bit limited, especially for vegetarians, but then they said three dishes were out of stock, including two vegetarian ones! However I really enjoyed the veggie burger and they the waitress was really friendly and warm.
Stopped at the Royal Oak to break a journey cross country and were glad to have done so. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was tasty with good portions and the pub was cosy and welcoming. Will look forward to visiting again when we're passing that way and would highly recommend.
