Booked a last minute table tonight as a little work stressed. Made to feel welcome and put at ease with a beautiful glass of malbec.
My husband and I shared a camembert starter with warm bread which was served with a tomatoes relish and an onion jam.
I had a delicious fish pie whilst my husband had the chef special steak n ale pie...my pie was a very generous size and the Hubster said it was the best pie he's had in a long time.
We finished of with a warm Apple pie n cold custard and a dark chocolate fondant that exploded soft gooey chocolate out to the tantalising salted caramel ice cream.
Very reasonable price and very attentive waiter, food was fantastic, quite the hidden gem.
Would definitely recommend this little restaurant.
Treated to a dinner Bears last night by our good friends. Had a wonderful evening really great service felt very well looked after by friendly staff and the food was lovely would definitely recommend. Will be returning for another visit.

I always love our visits to Bears, whether it be with the family for breakfast or lunch (we're yet to come for dinner but we definitely will!) or for a sneaky coffee & brunch whilst my little boy is at nursery. The decor is faultless with all the little attention to detail, staff are always attentive, warm and friendly and the food delicious... and with my favourite shop The Packhouse being right next door to while away the hours, it couldn't get much better really could it �
Had a great girlie birthday night out. Great food at reasonable prices and well looked after by our waiter. Would definetely recommend, will be back .

What a lovely, friendly and very accommodating place. As a family of 4 we were well and truly looked after by the staff and the breakfast was delicious. Very attentive to our daughter and she really enjoyed it. Thank you to all the staff.
Eggs Benedict was perfect. Lovely setting with quick service. Perfect for breakfast. I would recommend booking though as it was full quite quick after opening.
I found the Restaurant on Tastecard and have been 4 times now with different friends.
There is something different about the place, the food is awesome, staff great but with a relaxed atmosphere. It’s quickly becoming a firm favourite.

Stumbled across Bears and the Packhouse about a year ago! Now we are regulars for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as the whole menu is excellent! Staff are always attentive and so friendly. Amazing service every time. We will always enjoy our weekends at Bears!

The service was excellent, food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, they were happy to recommend dishes when I asked them. The toilets were clean and had baby changing facilities too. I will definitely go back to this place.
Looks like like it’s under new management. Had full English breakfast. Was superb. Very good quality ingredients. Very happy overall
Our first visit for lunch here, as the fish restaurant over the road had just closed.
Enjoyed a good two course lunch, served by very friendly waitress, and we may well return next time we visit Farnham. Recommended.

Service service service! Incredible team, super lovely and friendly. Food was fresh, well prepared and so tasty. Very well presented and great portions.
Try the prawns for starter, the bread melts in your mouth and dipped in the sauce from the prawns is delicious.
The potato gratin is so delicious, not super creamy which is nice. My steak was perfect and my partner just beamed at his Buttermilk chicken burger. We were greedy so had delicious desserts too, great selection of ice cream and amazing chocolate truffle.
Was such a treat and we had a wonderful evening!

We had steak and it was really good. The fish on the next table was looking and smelling really good as well... will definitely go back for the fish. Oh and the cheesecake ....
Nice place for a bit of Sunday brunch! Service was great, and food came quickly even though it was quite busy. A vegan sausage might have been nice with the vegan breakfast 😊, otherwise, food was great!

Went for breakfast Saturday morning and Bears lived up to all the great things I had heard.
Food was great, we had two breakfasts and a cappuccino and it was so nice. The portions were massive, with good quality food and at a reasonable price, what more could you want! We will be returning for sure.
The staff were lovely, both the drinks and the food came very quick considering it was a busy Saturday morning to the point they were turning people away who hadn’t booked. I really couldn’t find anything to fault with this place, I simply can not wait to return.

Very nice place and good food. Our pudding didn't arrive...but apart from that, it was a great meal out.
The staff were really friendly and a young waitress (also a student) took the time to speak to my husband and I about the art university that we had just visited, which we really appreciated.

Can honestly say we were blown away by the warm and friendly hospitality of this restaurant earlier today. We arrived very late (after the kitchen had closed) with 5 small children in tow, yet still greeted with smiles and not rushed for our orders at all. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. We weren’t local to the area and simple found this little place via a quick ‘family friendly restaurants’ google search. Its a real gem and we hope to come back again soon. Great menu, reasonably priced, outstanding service. Thank you so much to all the team at Bears!
