Lovely lunch with 2 friends. One of the few local pubs serving great food that is open 7 days a week. Weekends are popular so book well in advance. The gluten free menu is extensive and certainly doesn't fall short on quality or flavour.

Just visited as we are staying local in area and stumbled upon it.
Firstly the woman behind the counter (a blonde woman unfortunately didn’t catch her name) was absolutely lovely. So friendly, attentive and overall extremely pleasant.
The food was also very good! It was a really nice atmospheric pub and we had our 2.5 month old with us and very felt very welcomed which sometimes can be a bit of an issue.

The pub was fairly quite. The service was very slow. The 2 young girls spent more time talking,although when they did serve they were polite and cheerful.good sized roast. The landlady was very nice.

A hidden gem!! Great beer, lovely staff and a fantastic gluten free menu filled with wholesome home cooked options, and despite not being gluten intolerant myself, my husband is so, being able to dine out together without a restricted menu is a rarity. Would absolutely recommend the steak and ale pie. Delicious!!!

Went in on a weekday afternoon. Quiet as you'd expect. Friendly lady behind the bar and had a chat with the landlady who was sitting in the bar.
The reason for leaving this review was the quality of the ale, it was superb. Condition, temperature and taste were all spot on.
Coincidentally it was a beer from Musket Brewery, Linton.
We will be back!

I wish there was one of these pubs back home. All food is gluten free. I am also dairy, soy & egg free. All allergens were clearly marked which enabled me to have a delicious meal & a pudding. Thankyou Red Lion for an amazing experience.

We had a superb meal yesterday evening. It’s very rare to come across a 100% GF restaurant and with two in our group being Coeliac it was very reassuring. Really great pub food and very friendly and attentive staff. Southern fried chicken and steak and ale pie were fantastic. Great also having gluten lager on tap as well! Definitely recommend.

My coeliac friend was delighted to find the whole menu available to her. The food was delicious, with no compromises. The server, Lisa, was amazing at front of house and met all our requirements with ease and a lovely friendly smile.
