I ate here recently with my wife. It was a surprise 58th Birthday treat for me.
It was a proper treat! I’ve eaten at a lot of Michelin starred restaurants and this was as good if not better than most.
The thing that marked this place out for me though was the quality of service. All the front of house team were so friendly, knowledgeable and informal, it made it such an enjoyable birthday meal.
We live about 30 minutes away so we’ll definitely be back with friends.
Fantastic food, set menu, all very tasty. We’ve eaten at 2 star places and this was just as good. Nice simple decor. Warm welcome and friendly staff. My only critique is that the staff could be a little more attentive when the service gets busier, as in checking on drinks, how you’re getting on, etc

Every part of our experience was perfect.The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The service was perfectly timed, our lunch menu was delivered over 2 hours from seating to leaving (we did not have coffee or the cheese on the occasion). As for the food, well we were blown away, not a missed note. Every course individual and packed with perfectly balanced flavours. Can’t wait to return again, kudos to all involved

Absolutely sublime food served in a relaxed atmosphere situated in a very cosy pub. What a hidden gem. Great food elegantly presented and served. Will return when back in the area. Great to have a Michelin starred/ 3 Rossette establishment that serves draught beer. Excellent Timothy Taylor extensive wine list.
We went to The White Swan for the first time on the 19th August to celebrate a couple of special occasions. The staff were really welcoming and the restaurant had a really good atmosphere. The food was simply stunning and the way each course was presented and "introduced" by the staff was excellent. The cheeseboard was a perfect way to finish a phenomenal meal. The attention to detail, the attentiveness of the staff and the pace that each course was delivered made for a memorable evening. Well done to all the staff and thanks for making our celebratory evening really special.

Had a great meal at The White Swan. The vibe is a good mix of Michelin touches with a friendly, laid back style. The food was super tasty and good selection of drinks and dessert wine! We thought it was good value all round and will definitely go again.
Wow. What a place. Popped in for lunch. It's a very reasonably priced set menu which changes daily. Exceptional value for the quality of cooking on display. There was no filler - every course was fabulous. The highlights were the celeriac risotto (wow) and apple crumble souffle (wow wow). Fine dining, but in a relaxed, non-pretentious and friendly environment. Can't wait to return. Highly recommend.
