The Kings Arms is a great local pub with a nice pint. The food is on another level, often specials are on and it's always been the best place to eat locally. Dog and kid friendly.
Fenwick is fortunate to have this place - the quality of the food is superior to that of pubs in Glasgow. The a la carte mains are restaurant quality and substantial with the 3 for £15 small plates being scaled down versions of the same quality at great value. 20 minutes from the city centre on an X76 bus if you don't want to drive.
Unfortunately there were some issues with the order, but what was delivered was very nice. What was so good, nice above and beyond was the owner coming to our table and telling us we would not be paying for our meal, as we ordered sweets and another drink I offered to pay for that part and the owner would not allow that. A fantastic attitude and willingness to make our day enjoyable, FANTASTIC. We will be back👍👍👍👍
Absolutely fantastic local. A place which feels like home. Fantastic owners in Gareth Kelly and Mikey Lennon who have surrounded themselves with top notch staff. The regulars are so friendly and all of them have my back. I need to mention that the food is fantastic. The kitchen staff work really hard and are constantly developing the menu. A wonderful place, full of people I'm proud to call my friends and blessed that this is my local. Well worth a visit.
Generally speaking the service was quite good. My main course was cold, so was taken back to reheat, leaving the separate dish of vegetables to go cold by the time (12mins) later my main course was returned. The quality of the food was great, Nicola our ( main) waitress was great. We will return. I think a little more training or common sense will help greatly.
My grandmother use to own the Kings arms. We took my mum in to visit on her 70th birthday, for a little bit of nostalgia. The pub didn’t open till 2pm, so we were a bit early. The lovely owner let us come into see around and gave us all a drink. Such a lovely thing to do and it made my mums day.
