Herbies are always good, always open when they say they'll be and helpful and quick. Had a problem with food on one occasion and they were happy and helpful in sorting it out.

Fantastic fish and chips. A group of us were working at the festival nearby. We rang late and they were able to accommodate us. Beautiful food. Can't wait to eat there again next year. Thank you.

I think I have tried all the fish and chip shops in and around Ferndown and in my opinion this was the best. Large Cod and large chips was too large, would feed 2. Batter was good and crisp. Scampi was good. Chips were excellent and well cooked with a nice brown colour not anemic like some. Price was Ok but all the fish and chip prices have gone up. If you haven't tried them they are worth a go. I will probably not go anywhere else.

Best fish and chips I have had and only docking one star due to pre-orders on a few occasions being late still, plus one bad experience when service just plain failed! To be fair they do seem to have improved lately though and they are popular for good reason. I'm a regular customer who travels a little bit further, even with other closer fish and chip shops locally in Ferndown. I have tried them all and Herbie's is still worth the effort, as the cod is always soft and flakey and the batter crisp and light. Chips are perfect and the mushy peas not that bright green processed stuff.

After being exposed to continental chips, fries , friet ect, my love of the majority of british standard chips and chip shops has wained dramaticaly, but Heries chip shop is a cut well above the others and is a joy to return to every now and then. Clean, busy, pleasant staff and good, well cooked food. Supports a good range of food and cold drinks, not greasy barely warm chips.
