Under new management. Fantastic jumbo (and they are huge) tempura king prawns with homemade mango, chilli & lime salsa. Chips were great. My friends cod was huge and the fish/batter was perfect. Highly recommend. The new owner is a trained chef and he was happy to chat while cooking all of our food fresh on the spot. They are introducing a delivery service too. We will be back!
Ordered gluten free cod and chips (wife coeliac) and normal cod and chips with pickled eggs, mushy peas etc. Owner said he would need half an hour as he'd have to drain the oil down to do GF. Anyone that deals with being a coeliac will understand that that statement is like music to their ears. It tells you that they know what being gluten intolerant is and also that they do take it seriously.
Food was excellent, huge portions even I couldn't eat it all and I eat like a hippo, friendly staff. Not expensive and ready slightly before they said. All in all great chippy.
The fish & chips were top notch. Lovely golden batter. Price wise it's in the middle, not bargain basement, but still good value for money.
Delicious can't fault them have had takeaway from here many times chips are always really lovely curry sauce is so tasty. Really good chippy.
Best fish cake I've tasted in a long time. I think they are homemade. Lots of seasoning and a really good crunchy coating. Delish!
Had a problem with my pick up order and the staff went above and behind to help. Amazing service and the food tasted incredible. Ordered Gluten Free fish, clearly labelled exceptional value.

We went here last Friday, we had a fish and chip van on our St Leaonards campsite that night but after reading reviews still decided to try here, wow, was we glad we did, it was outstanding, fish was lovely with crispy batter, the chips were superb and the curry sauce pots were out of this world, great size, and they delivered to us. Highly recommended. Keep it up Ferndown Fish & Chips, we will be using you everything from now on when we're on holiday there. ππππππ
Got homemade fish cakes chips and battered sausage, best fish cakes around , not processed rubbish, big chunks of fish , bloody lovely
