The Egg & Spoon

This place doesn't look much from the outside, but inside, it's pretty big with a garden out back (dog friendly) This place was really busy, which is a good sign. We ordered the classic cheese burger and a large chicken and halloumi salad. (See pictures) Spot on if I am honest, Burger was a proper patty, and the chicken and halloumi salad had everything despite not coming with its grilled peppers or salsa. Reasonable price and service was quick to say it was busy. It's not the best atmosphere inside, quite enclosed so when it's busy it's loud. Clean and spacious, though. Would recommend coming here for lunch!

We'd popped in previously for a quick drink. A return visit was well overdue! This lovely cafe and bar has table service - a welcome difference to the usual counter service. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, bringing our drinks whole we chose what to eat from the extensive menu. I went for a jacket potato with cheese and a side salad. My guest went for the "brunch special" and had pulled pork ciabatta with poached egg and crispy onions. I wish I'd have gone for that too. Not that there was anything wrong with the jacket Potato! The food was freshly cooked and oh so tasty! I saw the legendary scones, but today was just a quick bite so we'll have to go back again! No step to access and plenty of space between tables. Clean toilets. Limited roadside parking. I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere which is a bit harsh but for me personally it was just lacking a wow factor.

I had taken my wife For breakfast the scones are to die for my wife had the sausage sandwich their are a good selection of food fryups teas and special s great prices the staff are most friendly and pleasant i gave 5stars for this place based on food prices and staff who strive to ensure the customers are looked after so Thankyou i would recommend i will be going back and be taking my daughter with us
