We popped here as a walk-in (didn't book) . The staff found us a table straight away. It's a lovely period property with a log burner. Well kept hand pull and a massive variety of drinks. food was piping hot and big portions. it was our first time visiting this pub but definitely would come again. thank you 😊

Haven't visited for 4 years and the Family LOVED the quirky decor and dangerous dated play area (althoughvery enjoyable) . But changed hands now. Decor more up to date and very clean and tidy. Booked Sunday 3.30 tried to change to 4.30 but didn't realise early closing. But landlord agreed 4 would work for him &staff even with a family of 6 with small children. Nearly cancelled as thought we'd feel rushed. Far from it. Food was excellent and service the same. Yes we were the last ppl there but at not one point did any staff member rush us. Definitely worth a visit especially as I've found if your staying at local Holiday parks theirs not actually many places with good food unless a big chain We loved the old place when visiting the East Coast but definitely be going again .

When you drive up its quite hidden, high conifers outdide, doesn't look open. Inside is very old looking, but welcoming with music playing in the backgroud log fire burning made it look really cosy, there is a good selection on tbe menu, I chose the belly pork, was not disappointed the piece of pork was enormous and the crackling was amazing vegetables were fresh Staff lovely, well worth a visit would definitely recommend

Food is fantastic, very reasonably priced for the quality. Everything is executed to a high standard, very flavoursome. Great service, you do have to order at the bar but it's no bother. Lovely visit.

Nice pub, good food at reasonable prices. Would recommend the roast dinner of the day with own jug of gravy. 8oz steak was nice but could have eaten 2. Would go back again.

What a charming wonderful olde world style pub,the oak beams are a big feature with lots of fine furnishings placed strategically placed around, the atmosphere is very nice with good background music, the food is outstanding and cooked from fresh straight to your plate. I opted for the large cod and homemade thick cut chips just like my mother used to make I must add the cod was large and to be honest so far it's been the best experience of fish and chips that I have had on the east coast , a wonderful dining experience and the honey pot catered for us even at short notice after a walk in,I would certainly recommend this establishment as a must visit whilst on your stay on the coast and you won't be disappointed the menu's have lots to choose from, many thanks Mr Steven Wilson
