Review The Station Hotel Restaurant - Filey

The food is lovely. The staff were really friendly and the portions were huge. Definitely value for money. The only complaint is other diners had a dog that kept jumping onto the benches to try and steal food off my plate. No fault of the venue. Just silly dog owners. Will definitely visit again 😁😁

We held a 21st birthday celebration here, The kitchen put together an amazing buffet that included everything you could think of. The buffet catered for everyone’s different tastes and was excellent. What a great night. Thank you

Friendly, clean and food was delicious. Big portions and good value. Ate at lunch. Booking recommended as a big party was coming in at tea time so they weren't able to do food later on.

Stopped for a drink today and stopped longer 😂 what a lovely pub made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in the dogs got treats, it’s been along time that I/we have felt so welcome walking into a pub will definitely be going again🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Was at Filey for 3 days called in at this place Lovely people and staff, meal was, VERY!! plentiful not sparce with the food at all, lovely garden area piped music outside, if I was picky because can't find anything else is wrong is it would be nice for the younger staff to dress up a little smarter, meaning professional and not a pair of shorts and t shirt, etc but would definitely be back again thank you for your hospitality xx

Lovely meal, six people and six different choices and it all arrived at the same time. We really enjoyed our meals, Joe and his team could not have been nicer catering for our individual requests. Great food, lovely pub and brilliant staff.

Great pub to visit. We always stop here when we are on holidays especially with the dogs. It's a very welcoming pub and dog friendly too! The staff are all fantastic and really nice. Our pooch like the guy who give out dog treats! There is also a large beer garden at the back perfect when ita sunny. 100% be back next time we are in Filey.

Absolutely fantastic place. ☆ Food was amazing!!! ☆ Service was brilliant. ☆ Atmosphere was great. ☆ Price was very reasonabke for what we ordered too.. ☆Staff really made you feel at home and welcome. The best meal iv had in a long time! P.s recommend the steak pie as it was perfect.

Ended up here for tea on Monday as the list of things that are open in Filey on a Monday is extremely short indeed. Walking in was like how I remember pubs being in the 90s which is no bad thing at all. Bar staff were friendly and the beer choice was pretty good! The food side of things seems to be a different business all together but using the kitchen of the pub. We initially sat at the rear right next to the kitchen which is a lighter room than the rest of the pub but honestly had to move as we could hear staff effing and blinding from within the kitchen (particularly one female voice was prominent). Foul language doesn't bother either of us and we're hardly clean tongued ourselves but it WILL cause issues for those with a sensitive nature. We ended up moving into the main body of the pub though because it started to grate! Whilst actually being served though, staff were professional and friendly. The menu was exactly as you'd expect and in fairness quite large so plenty of options, including a pretty big vegan choice if that's your bag! Fair play to them on that. We each ordered burgers which come with proper chips, salad and coleslaw - which I believe is home made also. Coleslaw aside which was bloody lovely... The rest of the meals were absolutely average to below average and honestly looked better than they were. As a local pub for drinking I'd say it was right on the money but as a food place, look elsewhere first.

Went here for "steak night" on Wednesday. There were 6 of us and was told to pre book by a friend which we did on the Tuesday afternoon. They took our steak order at the time of booking so they could order from their supplier otherwise we would have to choose from what was available on the night. We ordered 1 Ribeye steak and 3 Sirloin steaks. On the night we got the steaks we ordered and each was cooked to perfection. Served with the usual chips, mushrooms, grilled tomato and salad garnish. The price was incredible value at around £10 per steak which represents incredible value when you regularly see £27+ for steaks with the same pairing foods in other restaurants which is why I personally will never order steaks when I go out as I refuse to pay those prices when I can make, and enjoy cooking a perfect steak meal at home for a fraction of the cost. Our children had fish and chicken nuggets. My daughter is incredibly fussy about her food but she demolished her chicken nuggets which were obviously made fresh and what impressed me was that their chips were also made from fresh cut potatoes and not the usual frozen chips you see in so many places these days. There are no excuses for using frozen chips !

Excellent, busy, pub with sports inside, lounge, tap, dining, massive outside deck and beer garden, good prices, value for money, let's keep it going

Friendly local pub, great menu choice. Double cheese burger and chicken Parmo were spot on. Very reasonably priced and there dog friendly 👍🏽

We only dropped in here to watch a football match. It was a rather nice experience, the beer was really good. The staff were very good.

We have lived in this area for 4 years and this is the only pub that have really made us feel like a valued customer. We love that we've been able to enjoy the World Cup Rugby🏈🏈🏈, with decent hand pulled ale (which is an absolute gem of a find). The staff are so friendly and welcoming. At the bar you can help yourself to free peanuts. 👍🏽💯 This pub is definitely our local from now on. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Fantastic pub had Sunday dinner and watched the football brilliant afternoon

Nice pub, popular with locals who said the food there was great, so we had some and would agree! We mostly went there to watch the football.

We come here when staying at reighton sands, at least 2 times a year. Always a friendly welcome, great real ales and the food is spot on. Dog and kid friendly, and great outside areas

We didn't eat sat outside with our dog it was pleasant and very clean

Big thankyou to Joe and his chefs for the excellent food for my mum and dads 50th anniversary, you spoilt them, you went above and beyond everything they ordered at no extra charge and it was an amazing buffet. The food was excellent, the bar staff were lovely and so hard working, everyone said what a lovely time they had and how much they enjoyed the food... thankyou so much x

Found this pub via What Pub and decided to head there for a decent pint and hopefully some food. Lovely friendly pub, great ales and very good value food. I'm not sure about scampi and custard but my husband liked it!

Another fantastic Sunday dinner delivered,absolutely scrummy the best roast potatoes I've had in a long time, beautifully tender roast beef and the gravy is to die for cannot praise them enough Thank you so much guys I look forward to this all week xxx
