Top beer top food top staff that's why they call it the tophouse really friendly pub pay a visit you won't be disappointed.
Big thankyou to Joe and his chefs for the excellent food for my mum and dads 50th anniversary, you spoilt them, you went above and beyond everything they ordered at no extra charge and it was an amazing buffet. The food was excellent, the bar staff were lovely and so hard working, everyone said what a lovely time they had and how much they enjoyed the food... thankyou so much x
We held a 21st birthday celebration here, The kitchen put together an amazing buffet that included everything you could think of.
The buffet catered for everyone’s different tastes and was excellent.
What a great night. Thank you
Friendly, clean and food was delicious. Big portions and good value. Ate at lunch.
Booking recommended as a big party was coming in at tea time so they weren't able to do food later on.
Had lunch and it was absolutely delish. Lovely service. Discounted drinks with meals, massive menu and plenty of vegan and gluten free, fabulous 😍
We have lived in this area for 4 years and this is the only pub that have really made us feel like a valued customer.
We love that we've been able to enjoy the World Cup Rugby🏈🏈🏈, with decent hand pulled ale (which is an absolute gem of a find). The staff are so friendly and welcoming.
At the bar you can help yourself to free peanuts. 👍🏽💯
This pub is definitely our local from now on. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
A really personal welcome. Drinks served at the bar promptly and told to find a table we liked. The pub was busy with lots of bookings too. Found a lovely table on outside covered terrace, with tvs . There's extensive seating outside. The manager/owner was constantly checking all areas to make sure everything was OK. The waitress was fabulous, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Food was amazing, served with a beautiful salad and home made slaw. Unbeatable. Would recommend to anyone. Menu included vegan and gluten free. Very extensive menu. And a full list of desserts if you can fit one in.
We come here when staying at reighton sands, at least 2 times a year. Always a friendly welcome, great real ales and the food is spot on. Dog and kid friendly, and great outside areas
Great pub to visit. We always stop here when we are on holidays especially with the dogs. It's a very welcoming pub and dog friendly too! The staff are all fantastic and really nice. Our pooch like the guy who give out dog treats! There is also a large beer garden at the back perfect when ita sunny.
100% be back next time we are in Filey.
A surprisingly large, traditional pub, didn't know what to expect. Staff were all friendly, they were welcoming to both the child and the dog and the price for a beer and a wine was about half what it is at home. And then the food arrived. 8 had an adult portion of chicken parmo, a new dish for her, which she proceeded to demolish. The boss had a rump steak which came as requested, rare, and was accompanied by mushrooms tomatoes, chips and salad which were all properly seasoned. I had a pizza, a proper thin, bubbly taste explosion that was stone cooked and probably as good as anything I've had outside of Italy. An amazing find and visitors and locals all very friendly
Ended up here for tea on Monday as the list of things that are open in Filey on a Monday is extremely short indeed.
Walking in was like how I remember pubs being in the 90s which is no bad thing at all. Bar staff were friendly and the beer choice was pretty good!
The food side of things seems to be a different business all together but using the kitchen of the pub. We initially sat at the rear right next to the kitchen which is a lighter room than the rest of the pub but honestly had to move as we could hear staff effing and blinding from within the kitchen (particularly one female voice was prominent). Foul language doesn't bother either of us and we're hardly clean tongued ourselves but it WILL cause issues for those with a sensitive nature. We ended up moving into the main body of the pub though because it started to grate!
Whilst actually being served though, staff were professional and friendly.
The menu was exactly as you'd expect and in fairness quite large so plenty of options, including a pretty big vegan choice if that's your bag! Fair play to them on that.
We each ordered burgers which come with proper chips, salad and coleslaw - which I believe is home made also.
Coleslaw aside which was bloody lovely... The rest of the meals were absolutely average to below average and honestly looked better than they were.
As a local pub for drinking I'd say it was right on the money but as a food place, look elsewhere first.
Didn't have any food but it looked very good with good portions. Beer good , good price , staff & regulars very friendly. All in all top place
