Fantastic experience. Without doubt the best restaurant on the Ross of Mull. We had the four course lunchtime menu. Be aware that there is no choice of menu you get what you are given but given the locally available fish and game you will not be disappointed.

If you get the opportunity go and enjoy lunch at Carla Lamont's lovely little restaurant. The fish depends what John catches and Carla's take on local produce and foraged food and inspiration from her travels. Absolutely superb service too.

Absolutely a must visit for lunch. The presentation and attention to detail are spot on. Caral explains the thought behind every course and the history of the produce on the plate.
This was our 2nd visit and again were blown away by the taste sensation. Simply superb.

The 9th Wave is a small restaurant in a cottage up a track 15 mins walk from the road into Fionnphort. You can drive it but we didn't. Beautiful setting. There's a set menu. First time I've eaten food cooked by a Masterchef contestant. The courses were delicious and the ingredients genuinely local. One tiny
quibble: the pemmican seemed hardly worth the effort. The wine list was really well considered. Friendly Carla, the chef, introduced each course with a story about the ingredients. I'll remember our lunch for a long time. You have to book well in advance as it's not open everyday and it's (long) lunches only. My advice: visit Iona in the morning and take the 12oclock ferry back in time for an amazing lunch at the 9th Wave.

We came here for my husband's belated 60 th birthday . We drove up from Lancaster, especially to go to this restaurant.we camped at fidden farm which is just down the road about 25 min walk. The restraint is in a lovely location and we were welcomed in at 7 pm and taken to our table. A lovely surprise to see a gift and a card for my husband's birthday.which I had completely forgot about when booking as his birthday was at the beginning of July. The ambience was lovely with some music playing in the background. We were waited on by a lovely lady and a gentleman in a kilt. The food was amazing! Also the drinks too. I had a gin and so did my husband and we don't touch the stuff, but it sounded so interesting with different herbs all grown locally.it was delicious. We had 5 courses all looked to good to eat. We finished by sharing a cheese board and a coffee. It's a very small homely resteraunt ,were everyone turns up at 7 pm and this works very well as you order everything at the start including your dessert. Thank you for a lovely evening. I would love to come again but as you will be focusing on group bookings and special occasions this may not be possible .I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

A very special place and certainly one that needs to be on your list if you appreciate food and flavour! Booking is essential as it's a small intimate dining experience and the menu is a set 4 or 5 courses, with some choice in that. The stand outs for us were the Crab Souffle (their signature dish!) and also the Pink Peppercorn Merangue - simply amazing! The whole operation is extremely well run and focuses entirely on the quality and flavour of the local ingredients. The staff are very attentive and helpful and above all it is extremely good value for money! Highly recommend if you're planning a trip to Mull!

We were lucky enough to find this wee place and get a table on a recent visit to Mull. Wow! This was a unique dining experience. The four courses were exquisite and it was so hard to choose between them. The photos show only how beautifully presented they were but they can’t convey the depth of flavour that was packed into each mouthful or the quality of the ingredients and cooking. John and Carla have created something really magical here and it was a treat to be served by the man himself. Haute cuisine without a shred of pretension. A rare find! Go!

Brilliant place, fine sea foods, well presented and extremely tasty. Had a great dinner her. Booking essential but they also have a waiting list to take a chance on. Overall really nice restaurant.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to and certainly the best on Isle of Mull. It was such a taste journey; a really exciting experience. The fish dishes were the highlights. The lobster with the wonton was heavenly and the salmon courgette flower left us speechless. Even the cocktails were ultra special with a homemade banana marshmallow which was like nothing I have ever tasted before. Finally the sticky toffee pudding and parfait were divine. Everything from start to finish was magical. Thank you Carla and team.

First of all, we would like to thank you all for the great experience! The food was absolutely stunning. The flavours and combination was amazing. The lobster was probably the freshest lobster I have ever eaten. The service was spectacular from the moment we stepped into the door. We had an amazing evening! I would definitely recommend this amazing place if you're visiting Mull, even if you live on the other side of Mull as we did.
Thank you all again!
