The Verne Fish shop didn't, in my opinion, match up to other fish shops. The fish was smaller even though we had a large cod. It felt like a cheaper cut, and the skin was left on. The chips felt like they had been sitting around. They were soft and not crispy. Shame, really.

Excellent chippy, pre ordering is possible so you can just collect on arrival. The food is really tasty, and they do kids meals eg chicken nuggest and chips, etc. Parking available outside, also sell ketchup bottles etc.
Best fish and chips in Fleet. Lovely light batter on the Cod with non greasy chips. Always a friendly welcome, great staff and service.
