We were staying this week at the Meadow’s End Lodges near by and came across this fish & chip shop/Chinese by chance, while passing it on the road on the way back to our lodge. We had some excellent chinese food to takeaway but the Chicken curry must be the best I have ever tasted. Well worth a visit if you are on holiday near by. Date of visit 25/4/24... Cash only.

If you are staying on the Haven Lakeland Park what ever you do don,t go to Cooks the onsite Chippy, get in your Car and go to Flounders it,s cheaper and it tastes a whole lot better

I am a regular at Flounders both the best fish and chips and Chinese meals sensational quality best takeaway dining I have ever experienced - friendly welcoming owner and staff Maureen is a legend!

Best fish n chips I've ever had, 100% recommended. you won't be disappointed, the portions was quite large for the price I paid it was really cheap. It was good food and well worth every penny I paid

NB: cash only - a bit strange in this day and age. Very good fish and chips though. The menu only includes the Chinese takeaway dishes, so I took a couple of snaps of the chip shop menu board

Decent chippy near the camp site where we were staying.
It is different to chippy's where I live. they take your order as you walk in the door and then you wait and they serve in order.
This is fine in one sense as you know where you're upto but if the person in front of you places a large order and you just want a portion of chips then you'll have to wait until the large order is done and then they will serve you.
At chippy's where I live they will serve the small orders whilst the larger orders are being cooked, it is a more efficient to work this way.
That aside it is a good chippy with tasty food and that is the be all and end all
