We were staying this week at the Meadow’s End Lodges near by and came across this fish & chip shop/Chinese by chance, while passing it on the road on the way back to our lodge. We had some excellent chinese food to takeaway but the Chicken curry must be the best I have ever tasted. Well worth a visit if you are on holiday near by. Date of visit 25/4/24... Cash only.

Absolutely massive portion sizes with amazing flavours. If I’m ever in the area again we’ll be visiting. Reasonable prices, especially as it’s near a lot of tourist spots. Impressed.
NB: cash only - a bit strange in this day and age. Very good fish and chips though. The menu only includes the Chinese takeaway dishes, so I took a couple of snaps of the chip shop menu board

Best fish n chips I've ever had, 100% recommended. you won't be disappointed, the portions was quite large for the price I paid it was really cheap. It was good food and well worth every penny I paid
If you are staying on the Haven Lakeland Park what ever you do don,t go to Cooks the onsite Chippy, get in your Car and go to Flounders it,s cheaper and it tastes a whole lot better
If you happen to come on holiday to Haven and don't want to pay their rip off prices and suffer their poor service COME HERE instead. This feels like a local favourite and is packed to the rafters every night. The fish and chips are delicious and were ready within 30 minutes of us ordering! We came back for the Chinese and were not disappointed, all items were mouth wateringly good, kids loved it which is rare with Chinese food! Finally the prices are very reasonable indeed, it cost us less than 20 quid for fish and chips for a family of 4! Thank you to the brilliant staff, we will be back.
Decent chippy near the camp site where we were staying.
It is different to chippy's where I live. they take your order as you walk in the door and then you wait and they serve in order.
This is fine in one sense as you know where you're upto but if the person in front of you places a large order and you just want a portion of chips then you'll have to wait until the large order is done and then they will serve you.
At chippy's where I live they will serve the small orders whilst the larger orders are being cooked, it is a more efficient to work this way.
That aside it is a good chippy with tasty food and that is the be all and end all

100% recommend. Beautiful flakey fish with perfect chips and a side off peas. Children’s meals our the perfect portions; my child ate the lot. Will be returning again when in the area next and be definitely telling friends :)

Ordered some food from here today and I must say it's absolutely delicious! The service is quite quick around 20 minutes, but the food is cooked while you wait.
It is busy but is very worthwhile. We will be visiting again whilst up this way.
