Located at a basement of the Temple, efficient service and was not crowded for a weekday and working hour I assume. But hands down the best Uthappam I’ve had since India. Will be back to try the Dosa.

This restaurant in NYC serves some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The flavors are incredible. However, be prepared for less-than-friendly service from the cashier. Also, keep in mind that it gets extremely busy on weekends, so plan accordingly for potential wait times.

I stopped by to try the dosas and vadas; I’ve never had such a balanced dosa, the sauces are pure perfection with enough heat to satisfy someone who thinks nothing is spicy lol. I would recommend the pondicherry dosa if you’re vegan specifically, they said just make sure you ask for no ghee on items that you order. Love it 5/5!

Very cool spot in the basement of a Hindu temple. The menu is hard to understand with no descriptions or pictures except the flashing menu items on the TVs which only stay for 5 seconds before switching to another item. Not enough time to analyze and decide. Thankfully a very nice patron advised us on what was good and helped us make up our minds. We got a bunch of different things so we could try a variety. It’s all vegetarian and many of the items were delicious. I will definitely come again to try more options. We couldn’t finish everything because it was so much food for only $28 for 2 people. Not a high price!!

Great cafeteria in temple premises. Please look for a cafeteria sign and you should be able to find the stairs/elevator to go downstairs. Temple cafeteria have varieties of South Indian food and appetizers. Also you can get some packaged snacks too. Because of street parking finding a parking is little tricky.

Saw the food in a video online and immediately ran out to get some.. so amazing! Everything was very flavorful, variety of delicious spices.. so many options too. Arrived too late to try some of the weekend specials, go by early in the afternoon for that. Clean well kept tables, huge seating area. The speaker announcing the numbers is a bit loud lol. Good prices. Went two days in a row and tried many items.

Great, delicious South Indian food at low prices! Service was good. Atmosphere could have been a little better with more fans and/or lower volume over speakers.

This is easily one of the best dosas I’ve ever had, and it is part of a temple! Especially for very reasonable prices, these are so crispy and flavorful, and the little side dishes you get with them are so good. I highly recommend getting some coffee or tea here as well.
They also sell a variety of desserts, snacks, and other drinks and food. If you ever find yourself out this way, definitely go.

Took my parents to this temple and as people who grew up in India they were thrilled to find such authentic and affordable food. The paper dosa was fantastic and vada was perfectly light and crispy. Coconut chutney was also standout. Definitely deserving of all the hype and such a great vegan option!
