I love to visit this place.
Highly recommended.
I feel relax whenever I go to Folkestone, Harbour and beach.
Especially on sunny day. Fun, music, food etc.
You can also enjoy live ferries leaving Dover for Calais.
Get place to meet friends. Loads of different vendors for food and drink. Little putting green to play on. Big car park, but when we arrived it was full and took ages to find parking elsewhere. Great afternoon out if the weather's good.
Great place for sea side walks with lots of food and drink vendors and a small market.
Beautiful views of the cliffs and surrounding areas and lot of boats to watch.
I really enjoyed the visit to Folkstone .Great use of the old train station and platform. Eclectic mix of food and drink stalls. Live music.Huge screen showing the football. Amazing views across Folkestone. Look forward to our next visit.
Really enjoyed our (very windy) walk along the harbour arm. The eateries weren't open, but can imagine it gets busy on a weekend. The views and scenery were lovely. Really liked that the old train station has been kept and maintained.
The investment afforded the harbour arm, redundant railway station and now overflowing onto the beach makes this area a really interesting and exciting place to visit. Dut to moving up north, it had been several years since I last visited the harbour arm, when the redevelopment project had only just started. Now its all finished, and what a brilliant space it is to visit. The harbour arm still has the lovely champagne bar at the end, which had excellent live music. There are even more food shacks, each serving different cultural cuisines, & bar shacks, even ex double-decker bus offering greek food. Live music was being played at 2 places along the arm, with lots of people milling between food, drinks & music, creating a lovely atmosphere. The station, at the base of the arm, is all finished & offers a little community of individual shops & big screen, open air viewing area. The shops are independents, each selling different 'stuff' & many arts-n-crafts based. The back of the railway station spills out on to the stoney beach, where different restaurants have set up with open air, trendy sitting areas directly on the beach. So you can eat while looking out to sea. Overall, this is a really interesting & very trendy place to visit, and I'd certainly recommend it as it can't be beaten on a SUNNY, DRY day.
Bright and breezy (very breezy!) Sunday afternoon to visit to the Harbour Arm, luckily the autumnal rain kept at bay. Shared a fab K-Chicken Bao Bun from Baoboba whilst my daughter enjoyed her Apple and Cherry Bob's Tea. Wanted to grab a drink but my daughter (her again!) insisted on going to DessertFolks for S'Mores Cookie and Mint Ice-cream; the cookie was huge and very, very good!
Harbour Arm is a great up and coming development with an assortment of various food vendors. It's a great place to meet friends for a drink with a spectator view and often hosts live music on the weekends during the summer. The large screen will also show football games, events such as Eurovision and movies. You can view the schedule for these on the harbour Arm website. It's great to see what has been achieved in such a short time and looking forward to seeing it's development.
Never a disappointing afternoon on the harbour arm. Highly recommend.
Due to seasonal changes, we have migration and rare birds stopping off in our harbour. Worth the watch (:
Nice place to eat n drink. Look for the slow cooked pork/ lamb n chips. Wooden hut, also sells hotdogs. Beautiful honest food. So much more to see then you first realise, champagne bar at the end of the pier is lovely.
