We have been here twice this week, Wednesday and Thursday.
The owners were so welcoming to us, our friends and our dogs. They fetched some other chairs so that our friends who are in their 80's and my disabled husband could sit in the bar area more comfortably. We were in the bar as we had our dogs with us.
The food on both days was amazing and really good value. The mushroom stroganoff that I had on Wednesday was the best I had eaten in years. On Friday two of our party had chicken curry and both declared it wonderful. Plate licking good.....
My meringue with summer berries was too good to be true.
The food and welcome were of the very best. The owners have only been there five months and we wish them all the best for the future. When we are next in the area we shall definitely visit again and again.

Me and my partner have been craving a proper Sunday roast out with flavoursome vegetables, good roasts, and proper Yorkshire puddings, but that is also vegan and vegetarian......and here we found it!
Vegan: nut roast
Vegetarian: glamorgan sausages.
We both said how amazing it is. The flavour was there. The textures (we hate overcooked mushy veg) the atmosphere was warm and cosy (we picked our spot by the table), and the staff were so lovely and efficient.
We also had dessert... my partner had the syrup sponge which she said was so good!
And when I said I was vegan they went to the kitchen to see and they offered me fresh fruit and vegan cream! Normally I just got told "we don't have anything"
Cannot recommend this place enough. If you're in the area....go!
Accommodation was great, stayed in room number 2, it had everything you would expect. The bed was also really comfy.
The restaurant downstairs is really cosy and the food was great.
Melissa and Steve are very friendly, I can highly recommend the stay.

Stopped there for work this week room was very tiday bed was really comfy, staff and owners were polite and went out of there way to make us feel welcome, also had meal on Thursday and food was lovely, would highly recommend
