To start, if you are driving, there are a few parking spots allocated to the pub around the back in the car park shared with the coop.
The gate you can enter the pub through could do with being marked up a little better to make it clear it is indeed the pub.

It has been a number of years since I had been to the chequers; pre-Coop and post Coop; roughly five years in between the visits. It was previously my local pub but since I moved away it wasn’t practical.
However, I returned for a curry with my family and it was just as pleasant as I remember prior
Took my wife here tonight for her birthday ( been here several times before ) and tonight was no different. The food was excellent…..the Naan breads in particular! The staff were friendly and the service was great. Great visit to The Chequers Fordham & we’ll be back soon!
Come here with my partner and have eaten here twice. The food is fairly priced and absolutely wonderful only downside is the wait times for food can be very long. Our first night here we waited half hour which was fine as everything seemed to be fresh as it did on the second visit but on the second
Excellent curry restaurant that we would use for take out more often if it wasn't that every time we do the food is late 20-30 minutes (even though we ordered 80 minutes prior) and often the order is wrong. Please sort this out, its complete chaos on a Saturday evening.
I had a curry here few weeks back & being from Ely, I can confirm this is better than all Curry houses in & around Ely.
Portion sizes are BIG & quality of meet is great. All round great curry
